Since Covid, Sandpiper is no longer operating as a buffet. They only serve carry out and drive-thru. I called (6/22) to confirm this and there are no plans to re-open as a buffet.

Food was good . No place to sit for our meal though. If you don't live near by it's very hard to find a place to sit & eat the meal. Fried chicken was the best! Definitely recommend their fried chicken. Reasonable price.

it will have one of the best down home cooking buffet you can ever eat the food is clean good tasty the hospitality is good the people is so down to earth very clean restaurant I recommend you come there enjoy yourself and have a good time I mean the food is out of this world

travelled two hours to get can greens, cheese whiz noodles (macaroni and cheese) NOT BAKED and boiled fatty ribs. I am terribly disappointed!!!

My wife and I went through the drive through tonight for seafood. We ordered the whiting plate and the shrimp plate. When we opened the boxes you could tell by the color of the fish & shrimp that it was over cooked. Then when we tasted it, it was very apparent that they had not changed the grease at all. The seafood tasted like dirty oil. We haven't been to Sandpiper in about 5 or 6 years and we wanted to try them tonight for some reason. Lesson learned!!! We will NEVER eat at Sandpiper again. The quality of the food has gone down drastically since we first moved to Fayetteville in 2005. I wish we could have given it a zero stars.

I have always loved Sandpiper, but they've really fell off with their portion sizes in recent years. COVID has really damaged their buffett option. But they have good, consistent Calabash style seafood.

8-1-2021 Since Covid 19 has us staying at home, we have been ordering food from Sandpiper every Sunday. Today was the first time that I have had to write a review. My order was far from right. I ordered 2 dinners. Plate #1 Turkey and dressing, fried okra, butter beans, and soft roll. Plate#2 Yams, fried okra, dressing, corn and a soft roll. Also I ordered a pint of Banana pudding. Plate #2 came out with 1/2 pint of yams, 1/2 pint of corn, 1/2 pint of dressing, and 1/2 pint of fried okra and a roll that was cold and hard, no tea and and no plastic ware for either one of the dinners. It took about 45 minutes for us to receive our order. So my rating is zero

The reds were so tender it was falling off the bone not reds ribs... I am talking into my phone cuz I got so much to say the shrimp with very good even that spicy crab boil shrimp that was good the turnip greens the collard greens the whole my gosh the yams they brisket was good oh man there was so much the best fish that I've had in awhile was I forgot what kind it was but it was good the deserts are phenomenal phenomenal I don't know how to spell that that's why I'm saying it in the phone the best thing was the pecan pie or pecan pecan pie of some people call it hehehe Yankee and the sweet potato pie was wonderful so let me say again if you can go here you need to give sandpiper try cuz I guarantee you the next time I'm through there and I stop I'm going to eat there again the price is excellent very cheap and if you're a senior or military you get it even cheaper very friendly bunch of people are waitress I don't remember her name but she was an older lady and she been there for 25 years 18 years really but she would help her iced tea sweet tea taste like she put her finger in it was so but yes y'all try that out very good place and stars

It’s a good buffet with lots of variety of food. Fully stocked. Except a lot of it comes from a can and is not home made or not made from scratch. Like the banana pudding and the beef stew is store bought.

Food is very delicious home cooking meal. Me n and my family eat here on a regular when we meet up with some from north Carolina and some coming from south carolina. And we get our bellys full. It can and will get busy during dinner hours. But you will love the food at the end.
