From toast to Friday's special fish and shrimp Cafe' 13 has it! Dine in and carryout are available. Cafe' 13 serves healthy choices(salads) to a delectably fried pork chop sandwich. Their guest service is always phenomenal. Breakfast and lunch are served. Closing time is 3pm.
I have had breakfast here, and now lunch. The Steak and Cheese was awesome! I highly recommend Cafe' 13 for a well priced, made to order quick bite to eat.
Great for a quick lunch
Great food and great service. Unexpected hidden gem in downtown Greensboro in the PNC bank building. My only complaint is I needed more hush puppies because I am a very gluttonous person.
We needed a place to grab a quick bite to eat before hitting the road and the food here hit the spot perfectly! Mama got the pimento grilled cheese sandwich and it was delicious! I got the special mule burger - an absolutely delicious recipe. Of course we shared a basket of fries that were piping hot and exactly what we needed to round out the meal! The hospitality was engaging and welcoming.
Turkey burger was truly a GREAT reason to return. Nice friendly atmosphere and great customer service.
Delicious food and very friendly employees!!
Really good food and great customer service. Will definitely go back.
Great food! If you are on a tight schedule, you may want to call before you go.
The fish and shrimp special was delicious

This is a great little place near my office. 1st time there today, and I couldn't believe the awesome customer service. Smiling friendly faces, checked on us periodically. My most favorite thing was when I walked in and one of the chefs said, you look like you want a nice hot plate. And you know what, he sold me. The Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes and green beans were just what I needed! Definitely going back frequently to see these folks.
Walked in with my coworker/friend as we were in the area for a teacher professional development workshop. It took us a couple minutes to locate, but once we did we were happy. We were warmly greeted and we asked about the menu. Jessica and I both enjoyed our meal and the hospitality!
I love this little Cafe! When I moved to Greensboro in 2014 I knew I would need a quick place close to work to grab my lunch. This place fits the bill perfectly. The owners are some of the nicest people I've ever met. They don't mind when I make substitutions or when I'm feeling particularly piggy and order a double bologna blt. I haven't had anything that didn't taste fresh and yummy and trust me I've worked my way through the menu. Do yourself a favor try this place. It's well worth it.
Very good food my coworkers and I visit frequently during our lunch break. The staff is always so nice, and the food is fresh! They also don’t have you waiting for a long amount of time.
This place is great! Me and a coworker found this when our usual spot was closed early for some reason. Let me just say we are sooo happy! Now a lot of people in the office order from here! The staff is so nice, accommodating and they always get it right. On top of that the food is reasonably priced and it is sooooo good! I recommend this place to anyone!
Great food! The owners are awesome! I visit every Friday for fish! And any day in between for the delicious brownies! They have so much more but those are my favorites!
Great mom and pop cafe with excellent food!!
Delicious food, fries were sizzling hot and good!!
This place is a hidden gem. We decided to try it after reading the yelp reviews and were not disappointed. My kids are usually picky about their food but ate it all and didn't leave a single crumb. They had the chicken tenders and hotdog. The club sandwich and blt were delicious. Cole slaw and fries were great! Best part is the service- very friendly and attentive.
I just tried there fish and shrimp plate BY FAR THE BEST FRIED FISH IN GREENSBORO NC. They have great customer service as well the tea was amazing also.....I will definitely be back next week
This gem is hiding right under the nose of GSO! Excellent service, husband and wife owned. Burger and fries is a great deal and delicious. We will be coming back for ice cream once things warm up!
The food is excellent and the owners are outstanding individuals. I highly recommend this place.
GREAT cooking, wide variety, friendly owners and staff!!!
Tucked away on the ground floor of the Renaissance Plaza building, Café 13 may be one of the best little-known restaurants in downtown Greensboro. Rick and Stephanie have been running this restaurant for many years and they take care of their customers well. The salads, the sandwiches, the breakfast food are all outstanding, but their Great Burger is my all-time favorite.
Challenging to find. Staff wasn't overly friendly. Food was good and fairly cheap. I went here for breakfast and it was okay. Not terrible not great.
Best chicken salad ever!! This is my to go to for lunch place during the week...need to be open longer during the week..great food.
First time visitor & was pleasantly surprised. Food was served piping hot & was quite tasty. Will definitely order lunch from here again.
The food here is delicious! I work downtown Greensboro so it's convenient for lunch. I just wish it was opened on weekends.
Went to Café 13 for the first time today and it hit the spot! I ordered the turkey club with fries and a water and everything was on point!
Just a stonesthrow away from my job, I get the opportunity to frequent Cafe 13 regularly. They are located in the bottom level of the United Guaranty building. Once inside, you will be welcomed by the owners (middle-aged couple) who are such sweet souls. The husband typically passes out the food and the wife is usually the cashier. They are very expedient in getting orders in (and out). Matter-of-fact, the husband will jokingly give you a hard time if you zone out while waiting. I do this often and never hear my number being called. I just never expect my food to come up so quickly. I usually opt for the turkey and swiss burger and french fries. It is served on a buttery roll and is always cooked perfectly (well-done for me). They are not the most inexpensive place, but for the service and quality of food, it is money well spent. I have invited many of my colleagues over and they too enjoy the quaint spot. They serve soul food on certain days and that is always a hit, as well.
Great food, good location, super friendly staff! I have just found this place and have already become a regular. It's my new favorite lunch spot! Without a doubt there will be smiles all around when you enter and your food will be hot fresh and good.
This little cafe in on the ground floor of the building where United Guaranty is headquartered - and it is small, but very bright & clean. This is a fast food setup - place your order & pay at the register, wait for your food. The menu is rather short - some breakfast plates & sandwiches, salads, a few sides, burgers, and hot dogs. We settled on a Hot Dog, Cheeseburger, and a Club Sandwich with both ham & turkey. The hot dog was nice, and there was plenty of chili, a little pricey at $2.75. The Cheeseburger was very good, as well, and the club was excellent, with plenty of ham and turkey. The folks here are super nice, and things move through in a timely manner. Not a bad place at all to grab a quick sandwich for lunch.
Visited the cafe on local newspaper new opening. The business is family owned and named after the son's football jersey. You may miss it because it located on the mezzanine lower of an office tower at Renaissance Plaza. Decor is nice, light and airy. The service was great, the husband and wife were the host/hostess and the food was made to order. The fried fish and fried shrimp portions were generous, seasoned well and seafood fresh flavor. As appreciation the owners gave free of charge a yummy moist home baked brownie.
Café 13 is a great spot for lunch in downtown Greensboro. They keep it simple and do it right! All of the ingredients are fresh and top-notch. The prices are great for downtown (there's no dollar menu, but they have some of the best prices in the area and it' definitely worth the flavor & the quality. I met the owners, Rick and Stephanie, for the first time today...they are some of the nicest, down-to-earth people you will meet. I will definitely be back to have another (of many more, I hope) of what is one of the best burgers I have had in quite a while. ;-) Go by and give it a try...you won't be disappointed.
Truthfully what keeps bringing me back is that Cafe '13 is located down the hall from me in the Renaissance Plaza. There prices are a little on the high side but the for the convenience I am willing to pay them. The staff is always friendly.
