Bro gets paid 7 dollars a hour to stand at the door to let in kids with flip flops and guy harvey shirts ( probably minors) but god forbid they have a plane white t shirt. Staff is obviously power trippping there’s no logic to it at all just 19 year old kids with power. Who?would turn down clientele on a Thursday because of a white shirt and black jeans this is just bad for business

I just recently went there after seeing the sign while I was going around with my friend.I ordered Maisoor masala dosa and samosas. Both of the dishes are so worth it. The samosa and the sauce felt like I was in India.The dosa was not spicy enough for me (I understand that they probably need to keep it that way to cater to the American population) but God it was amazing, especially with the sambar.Like it seems costly but totally worth it, just for that authentic sambar dosa, like you will feel like you're eating something that I actually made in South India. Overall, if my pocket allows, I'm definitely coming again and it's great to come here with your girl for a casual date or just have great drinks and impress her with some good food.Also, the service is excellent. The chef specifically came out and explained the dishes and asked what we needed so 5 star for that.

place is disgusting! Saw a rat running around and some rat poop on the bar! An employee that works there told me he tried the new Indian menu and got food poisoning! There’s also rat poop all in the kitchen, i’m sure it gets in some of the food! Awful!!! would not recommend!! stay safe!

Calcuttas is somewhat new to Greenville. The food is 10/10. The drinks are 10/10. Calcuttas really seems like they are gonna be one of the top (if not already) bar/grill places in the heart of Greenville. Seems like they really are invested in having the best customer service and also best deal. If your a local definitely check it out and if you’re just stopping by definitely check it out.

Music has been decent the few times I’ve been, but other than that, this place kinda sucks…. 1st time I went I ordered a double vodka sprite & handed the bartender a $20 bill. She took my cash and served the next guest without giving me change until I finally got her attention for my change back & she gave me change, but $2 less than what I should’ve received back according to their special. The few times I’ve been back since, I, as well as my friends, have waited over 20+ minutes for a drink every single time & don’t even get me started on the bathrooms… The place has so much potential it’s just almost like they don’t care I guess idk.
