Nice atmosphere, comfortable seating options and friendly and attentive staff. Food was good and decent price and quality for value. We found the seafood dishes delicious and pizza solid. Beer and wine listing was extensive. Good option if spending the afternoon shopping in the historic district.

I use to love this place, haven't been in years....there was a booth with 4 people, a booth with 2 people, and the 2 of us sat at the bar. I went to the bathroom and Holy cow...the door frame was all kicked in and broken, toliet paper holder was hanging by one screw, no soap, no paper towels but a big sign that says employees must was their hands. Service was ridiculously slow and that's with the manager sitting at the bar on her laptop. Extremely disappointed. Do yourself a favor...walk on by

Tried to eat here Wednesday afternoon for Lunch. When we walked in the server(Ricky) was hanging out at the bar having a good time ignoring us until he finished whatever was happing at the bar. When he finally got to the table there were out of mashed potatoes, Ruben, and Cuban. Not the best way to treat customers and run a business.

Great selection of beer and wine. Staff was attentive and friendly although busy. Beer cheese pretzels and pork belly tacos appetizers were delicious! I will be definitely be coming back.

Food was fantastic. The beer cheese Philly had just a tad too much cheese on it. The pretzel was perfect. My wife loved the tea. She said it wasn't too sweet like others have.

I wrote a very negative review but decided to give The Rose another try... and I'm glad I did. My original post gave one star based on the lack of service. I gave it a poor review as a quick reaction without putting much thought into it. It's so easy for me to criticize without actually observing the facts; so I am amending my review and giving the two employees 5 stars... I wish I could give the owner(s) one star as it was the owner and management that are turning away regular customers, like myself. My original post stated that the bar was 3/4 full with one bartender making drinks and pouring beer for the bar customers as well as those seated at booths and tables. He had no bar back to help him run dirty glasses to the kitchen and retrieve clean glassware. He also had to obtain ice from the back and replace kegs for the beers they have on tap. Are the owners too cheap to hire help for the bartender? The bartender kept his calm and was focused despite the lack of support from management. Every Wednesday evening is "Wing Night" at the Rose and I am there with 3 close friends of mine almost every week for wings and beer. Wednesday evenings draw a lot of customers, but the management only scheduled one person to wait on tables. Lately, my friends and I leave and go to another bar after we finish eating as it takes so long to get refills. The last two months I have noticed that waitress really tried to keep up with a lot of customers. I don't blame her that I waited 30 mins to get a refill of beer; the lack of attention to customers is the fault of management not scheduling more staff to provide good customer service. The management is to Blame for driving customers away. I love the Rose and have been a loyal customer for over 10 years. I used to stop in a few times a week after work to meet up with my friends. At one time the Rose was properly staffed so that the bartenders and waitresses actually had the time to spend time getting to know their customers. I became friends with former bartender, like Ashley K. as well as former waitstaff, like Kevin H. The way the Rose is now, the staff have a hard time keeping up with orders. The owners and management are changing the once friendly neighborhood bar into an impersonal business with long wait times for food and drinks.

Beautifully restored pub with good beer and good food. Service was slightly slow, but attentive and friendly. Beer selection is adequate but not extremely interesting. Would definitely recommend.

Our party of 4 stopped in and after being seated it quickly went downhill. The server we understood was new, but he brought out the wrong drink order after waiting at 15 minutes. We were only offered a single menu for 4 of us!! It was not that busy but our appetizers did not arrive after a full hour. We asked the waiter at least 4 times and we were told it coming soon. We watched as at least 3 other tables were served that arrived at least 1/2 hour after us. In fact the people sitting next to us apologized for them being served before us. we had to ask the bartender as well as another worker if they could get us some help. One of our party nicely approached the manager but and was offered a few excuses but no real concern. After we were served 1 1/2 hours later, we waited for the server to bring us our check, after another 1/2 hour after clearing our plates, another person from our party went up to the manager and asked for our bill. She finally came over and literally threw the check on the table, never discussed any options with us or showed one bit of concern. We have never left a restaurant with such an unfavorable experience. Stay away as there are many other places with better service.

I would have given this review more stars had they not cheated me on my bill. I had 2 drinks here on Saturday night, paid my bill and left a 23% tip...no biggie for 2 drinks...BUT when i saw my credit card statement, they decided to add more to their tip. I tried contacting them but have not received a response. Bottom-line...keep an eye on your statements! I'm betting they have done this before!

I am a local who used to eat here regularly, today was the absolute worst! The Cuban sandwich was a joke two slim pieces of lunch meats with a pickle pressed in a panini press, and cold under cooked fries, y’all should be ashamed especially after waiting over an hour for this terrible food! I won’t be back, too bad since I had been an avid fan recommending you to others; no more!

Service started good but ended badly. Food took 50 minutes for 3 of the 5 meals ordered and the other 2 meals took another 10 minutes. Seemed like the quieter it got the worse the service got. The fish and chips were mushy, the fries were frozen and just warmed up. Very cold inside. Do not recommend, ate there only because wecouldn get I. Anywhere else.here
