Josh greeted us at the door and was also our server and he was absolutely awesome!Duke’s has an extensive wine list with so many great choices.The ‘regular’ menu as well as the specials had so many wonderful selections. I had the house salad with blue cheese dressing which was fresh and full of flavor. My husband had the Caesar salad which he loved.For dinner I had the crab cake served with asparagus, garlic mashed potatoes and julienne squash and everything was so delicious! There was so much food I brought half of it home and I can’t wait till lunch tomorrow!My husband had the sushi grade tuna with fried rice and he loved it.Included with our meal was a lovely dessert sampling , (delicious and just the right size) and we left so satisfied but not stuffed.Go to Duke’s! You’ll love it (I didn’t mentioned how beautiful the restaurant is with super clean bathrooms!) and ask for Josh! He’s the BEST!

Recently made our first visit to Dukes! It was a Tuesday night, and there was a good crowd with larger tables and a few smaller groups. The food and the service was outstanding. My wife had the beef tenderloin dinner, and I had the Bison and oyster dinner special. It was a great dinner and very high-quality. They also have a great wine list. We would highly recommend this establishment.

Someone that's only lived here a couple months and have lived in Florida for many many years which has a lot of really good restaurants. I'm pleasantly pleased with dukes food for the few times we've been. There has been great! And they have a small and large portion sizes on the menu which I like. Overall. I think it's it. Really really good restaurant and I would highly recommend it

What a find. I've lived here 11 years and didn't know of this gem until last week when a friend stumbled upon it. First and foremost, the salmon was excellent with sides of a multitude of veggies and delicious sweet potatoes. The salad was fresh, cool, and wet, nothing old and dark to separate out, and with the perfect amount of dressing. The wine list extensive and our choice, which I forget, was perfect. And the spoon dessert was unique and tasty. But here's the real reason I will be back, and often. It's the ambiance. It's the presentation of the food. It's the napkins and unusual plates. It's the attention to details. The live music. The uncommonly friendly and competent servers. The comfortable tables and chairs. The ample parking. The only downside, and it's really not fair to say this because it was worth every penny, was the price. It's expensive. But for those like me who never finish a meal and never take a doggy bag home, they offer half plates for almost half the price. Same food, only waste free. What an idea! This is a must stop for those visiting Hickory, and this is my new go-to restaurant, and not just for special occasions. I intend to plow my way through their menu.

I ordered the Tomahawk ribeye. It was very under seasoned, rather than tasting like a steak it was more like a pot roast with a bone attached. The atmosphere and service was great. Also the cocktails from the bar were delicious as well.
I am a member of HBISG - Hickory Brain Injury Support Group. Usually, we have Christmas Dinner at a cheap buffet place (i.e. Golden Coral, Chinese, cheapest place available) however this year thanks to donations we received we were able to go have an actual NICE DINNER and after calling discussing our preferences and available funds with SEVERAL places we chose Dukes and are THRILLED with our decision. First of all the private room(s) we were given had an area we could set up all the gifts for our Dirty Santa Game, an area for our HUGE buffet of INCREDIBLE food - which was rearranged to include scrumptious, desserts later, a very comfortable area for 30+ dining which was handled PERFECTLY by our waitress BROOKE. Everyone was THRILLED with the environment, food, wait staff, privacy, TIME - we were never rushed allowed to stay as long as we wanted until the last gift - lol. Who knew this little town of Hickory offered such fine dining - PERFECTION

We went in last night for a last minute date night. We ended up sitting at the bar. Josh was amazing! Even though they were super busy, he handled it with ease. Our drinks never went empty. We also had the Swordfish that was on special. It was awesome!
Our server, Kelsey, was so nice and very efficient. The food was delicious. The restaurant is decorated nicely for the holidays. It was an enjoyable evening.
