Was recommended by a family member. We stopped in for breakfast a couple weeks ago as we were leaving Topsail. The food and service were great. The prices are good. We'll definitely stop by again on our next trip to Topsail.

Had breakfast. Asked for scrambled eggs, prepared soft and fluffy, got eggs flat dried up and hard, not really scrambled. Sausage link was cold, hard not really that tasty. Biscuit was different, sort of a cross between what I know as a southern biscuit and a Kaiser roll. Grits were good. Coffee, first cup was good, second cup pretty weak. Service was ok, server not very friendly, needs to learn how to smile a little. Unfortunately, not a very good experience and pricey. 21 dollars for breakfast for 2, both of us had same items with the addition of a very small piece of country ham.

Being called “Southern Roots” I really thought the food would be homemade. The hasbrowns tasted as if they were store bought, frozen ones that were chopped up. The pancakes were tasty and fluffy but not homemade. The coffee was weak. Eggs were cooked well. Service was friendly and expedient.

It was great. Everything and everyone was great. The server was great. She got our order right and the server who brought our food was very nice. The food was hot.Parking: It’s a small parking lot but we found a parking spot.Kid-friendliness: They have meals for kids.Wheelchair accessibility: I’m not wheelchair bound but it does look like people in wheel chairs can get to where they need to get in and out of easily.
