The food is very good diner style . But the waitstaff should all be sent back to grade school . They act like babies, one in particular Holly the oldest there wont leave othered tables alone and bad mouths the other waitresses . telling them they are rude. Just a disgusting show . I worship I could grade on waitstaff and food separate the would have a 0

We were visiting the area and decided to try lunch at The Falls. They were only open until 2pm, but were closing at 1:30. No problem. We went for the Special - Spaghetti, garlic bread, and salad. The lone server was doing an awesome job of being attentive and welcoming for the customers. Kudos to the staff and cook. :-)

Just ok. Pros:reasonably priced. Two people ate meals and shared an app for less than $30. Cons: slow service. Food was just ok. Salad was fresh, but not hearty.

I think the staff was overwhelmed for lunch because it was Tuesday and the lunch opportunities at Lake Toxaway are limited. We enjoyed the ambience but the sandwiches were very average. I imagine the sandwiches might have been better if the place wasn't so busy. The customer service was actually the low point of lunch and could have been the decision maker for us trying the cafe again. I suggest trying the Falls Cafe on a day when they aren't the only game in town and only because they are in walking distance from our rental.

What a find!! Reading reviews on Yelp and came across this gem. We visited and found it exactly like many of the visitors posted. Atmosphere is country and warm. Food was great. My wife had their standard black angus cheese burger and rated it one of the best ... I had a reuben open face sandwich and both luncheons cook to order. The server was attentive and helpful and management was interested in ensuring we were totally satisfied ... and we were.

Nice overlock of the Toxaway Falls when it's warm enough to dine in their outdoor area.
My wife and I had lunch there the other day, the food and service were very good! I only wish they were open for dinner.

When you're out in the North Carolina woods, where do you forage off the land? We just happened upon The Falls Cafe & Grill. It comes up quick when you're on the road so be careful getting in and out of the parking lot: your visibility in either direction is obscured. Sit outside on the covered deck and watch the falls from the lake. The food was good: a Swiss burger with cheese and mushrooms was mine. Like several other restaurants we dined at during our trip, the cafe was understaffed, which they apprised us of upfront. Be patient.

We arrived 5min before closing but were seated with a smile. We had a simple lunch, hot dog and Philly cheese steak, but it was really good. Our waitress was friendly and very knowledgeable and helpful answering a few questions I had. The ONLY problem is the limited parking. But we were told that would be addressed in the future.

This place was on my bucket list for so long, I wish I had better things to say about it. For one, I went in to ask where to park.. the two waitresses were talking bad about a customer and didn't even acknowledge me. Finally I got to ask and the woman said "be creative". We finally found parking and sat down. Our waitress was rude to us the entire time.. she helped the people that came in after us before even getting our drink order. We ordered the fried mushrooms as an appetizer, she asked if we wanted ranch or blue cheese.. I asked if we could have one of each and she said it'd be an additional charge.. I said just ranch then. She never refilled our drinks, but refilled everyone else's drinks around us. I asked for a fork three times before just getting up and finding one myself. She forgot the mushrooms so they ended up coming out after the food was gone.. and without ranch or blue cheese. Overall disappointing. The best thing I can say is the view was beautiful, and the gentleman that worked there seemed nice. They were very understaffed in the kitchen, but they still kept up with the orders pretty well.

A waitress was rude to us as soon as we were greeted. I politely asked if we could eat with our dogs outside. They said yes. I could tell the staff was stressed, so we sat outside very patiently. They knew we were out there, multiple waitresses came out delivering drinks and food. We were never greeted, never got drinks, or menus. I sat there for 27 minutes, before I realized that a table that was literally just seated, was already given drinks, silverware, and menus. It's like they were straight up ignoring us... Maybe good for locals. Made us feel like trash.
