Good food at fair prices with very friendly service. I am used to Lexington-style barbecue (think vinegar based with lots of tang) and their barbecue was different but very good. It had a sweet and smoky flavor to it. The staff was very friendly and we enjoyed our meal.

My husband and I both tried the BBQ pulled pork platters. We both loved the pulled pork. My husband really liked the onion rings and barbecued coleslaw that came with his platter. The hush puppies were okay. I really liked the collards and Mac-n-cheese that came with my platter. The cornbread was good, but kind of dry. I should have asked for butter. Overall, we liked it and would go back.

This is a down home kind of place. Simple food at reasonable prices from a bygone time and place. If you are fancy city folk accustomed to a refined palette, you're gonna be disappointed. Expect rural food here, engineered with the working man in mind and delivered in the plain, no-nonsense country hospitality that has taken centuries to become so famous. Aunt Bea's has been around a long time, so it's a local staple in Mt Airy and Pilot Mtn. It's easy to imagine you're in a 50's diner where you can get a root beer or coca cola float for 5 cents. Locals have been enjoying the Aunt Bea's experience for decades - I'm sure you will too. Just don't forget the ice cream and cobbler for desert.
Went through drive thru, explicitly stated 4 grilled cheeses with mayo, a girl repeated, "with mayo?" And I said yes, with mayo, also ordered 2 chicken sticks, tater tots, cheese munchers, chocolate milkshake and tea.None of the sandwiches had mayo, and every food item was dry and hard, like it had been sitting there awhile. The is the second time at this location that the food was as if the end-of-the-night leftovers. I fed it all to the dog. Out $36. Also, the milkshake was handed out the window covered all over and dripping. I asked for napkins to wipe it off.Done with this location.

Ordered the vegetable beef soup for my friend. It looks nothing like the picture on display. It was mostly liquid, and the container was only half full. Not worth $6.09. Very disappointed.

Food is way over priced and not good they charged me 13 dollars and something for a grilled chicken salad that had wilted lettuce in it and it wasn't hardly any salad in plate at all ridiculous for that price people should be getting a bigger salad and the chicken put to the side not on top of lettuce I want be goin back one of the sorryest places in town to eat at
