First time here and it was amazing. Bar staff were very friendly and took great care of us. Burgers were cooked perfectly and were nice and juicy. Fries were crisp and tastes great. The margaritas were so good that I ordered a second one. Very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Will definitely be back soon.

Amazing service and great food. Staff was very kind and always made sure we got what we needed. Food was delicious. Good ranch too!!! There’s both bar seating and upstairs sit down seating.
Visiting family here in New Bern and they frequent Michael’s often. We decided to go for a light lunch, was not busy, sat outside and told bartender we were outside like the sign requested. Two waitresses on the deck where we were seated and as we waited 5 to 10 mins, neither one came over to us. Then the one older waitress with a ponytail seemed like she was very frustrated and yelled out loud across the patio, stating that she didn’t know why the other waitress didn’t serve us and then turned around and went back inside. Instead of her serving us she just left and then came back out and started helping another table who came in 10 mins after us. We said that we were there first and all we need is some menus to start. She never said let me get those for you, instead she said another waitress will be out to assist us and just continued assisting the newly arrived patrons. Well no one ever came as we waited five more minutes, so we got up and left. That waitress should not be in customer service work. She doesn’t know the meaning of working as a team if your coworker is not around and you see customers sitting and waiting for service. She never greeted us not once and we thought it was inappropriate for her to yell in frustration across the deck instead of coming over to us. It’s a shame because our family who goes here often, were even shocked and said service was never like that. I know we won’t be going back to this establishment.

Solid 4 , approaching 5 stars. The wings are the best in town and other menu items I've had are very good as well. I will mention , beware the fish tacos are a spicy overload. A little spice is fine but these were just hot and nothing else, not at all enjoyable for someone who doesn't want their eyes to sweat as they're eating their dinner. A heads up would be nice on the menu for these things that are mainly "spicy" . Service on occasions that I have been is hit or miss, one visit you may have an attentive waitress the next,. you may not . As for the atmosphere, it's just a neat little bar with upstairs dining available. Again, I say it's approaching a five star.... Give it a shot you'll probably like it.

Sat on the patio and with the heaters out there it was perfect. Our server Deja(sorry if I spelled it wrong) is the best server. She is not only efficient but just as sweet as can be. The food once again was so good.

We had our dogger with us downtown and needed a lunch break. A friend suggested Michael's as a dog friendly patio so we gave it a try - and glad we did. M cheesesteak was smartly done - fresh grilled shaved beef, onions & peppers on a soft hoagie roll was right on the mark for this Philly transplant! Wife's cheeseburger done to order earned her raves too. And our pleasant waitress brought a fresh water bowl for our pup, and a printed dog menu! Zoey quite enjoyed her (all beef!) hot dog as we three relaxed on a balmy New Bern day. The lunch menu was thin, but all that we needed. We'll certainly make the short walk again to Michael's when with our dog and cruising downtown - they've earned our repeat business.
