Overall the wines are okay, I would rate the average wine there a 3/5 stars. I’m a sweet wine drinker too, but for some reason many of these just didn’t have an outstanding taste by any means. I thought the tasting was fun and definitely worth the money for the experience and all of the wine you get. At the end of the tasting, you have an opportunity to get a free glass of wine. We went to the back patio bar and I asked for my glass, which happened to be the end of a bottle. I’m already pretty buzzed at this point because I don’t drink often and the pours during the tasting were rather heavy, I wouldn’t have any issue with getting a glass full to the brim for free if the older man working the outside bar didn’t refer to me as a “little girl.” He said to me and I quote, “Do you think you can drink all of this little girl?” It immediately creeped me out and made me want to just hand the glass back and leave. I’m an adult woman, just because I’m younger than most of the people there (in my late 20s) doesn’t mean I need to be called a “little girl”. What a creep and incredibly disrespectful. It’s a shame because the other employees seemed lovely. I won’t be returning.

Had the most wonderful lunch with my mom today!!! Amanda was our server, and Ansley the host was an absolute sweetheart. I accidentally ordered a dish with chicken, and being a vegetarian, they took it off the bill for us. Such an amazing experience and I wholeheartedly recommend checking out the bistro for anyone who LOVES great food and great service!!!! If I could rate 6 stars I would :)

Drove from New Bern to pick up my wine supply and take back to MD. Love their win. Plenty of variety and very reasonably priced. Definitely worth the trip.

I ordered a case of the sweet for Christmas.... delicious!!!! Other places give you a mix of sweet and dry. I'm just not a dry gal so this option was perfect.

Road trip with our 50+ group to Duplin Winery in Rose Hill. We had a reservation at the Bistro restaurant for 25 seated together although our group was 35. We were told they would only reserve 25. The remainder of our party made their own reservations and did not sit in the same area. No problem they were in the house. The servers were friendly and professional. They took our orders and answered questions asked. We were able to welcome our members and say a corporate prayer while waiting on our food. Beverages were served. One small table with 4 seated got their meals first. Everything was plated nicely and arrived hot. I ordered the Chef Special which was a three or four cheese lasagna. It looked tasty but didn't look like your typical lasagna pulled high with meat and sauce with noodles on the bottom. I didn't realize that it had meat which I do not eat. I ordered a Caesar salad and was satisfied. It was fresh and the salad dressing had a good flavor...also plentiful. I took the lasagna home. One table was delayed in getting their meals. Not sure if there was a problem. But needless to say all tables were not done at the same time...but we're worked it out. An 18% gratuity was added to each bill...not knowing and I didn't ask...most left an additional tip as well. After brunch our group shopped and several did a wine tasting. Overall everyone enjoyed the Duplin Winery and The Bistro. Several were interested in going back in December for the Christmas show.

Such a great place to hang out, wonderful wine selection. The bistro has really good sandwiches. Do the tour, and the wine tasting. Make sure to be safe and have a designated driver.

First off, one of the one star reviews should be a 5 star. She loved Duplin winery. I love going. We've been going for many years. Always had a wonderful time. Staff is so friendly and helpful. Our visits are always perfect.

An awesome stop, making me wish I had more time. I walked through, saw the tasting rooms and the bistro, and they told me about the chapel where they do weddings. Prices were surprisingly less than what I thought they might be. And it's easily accessible to all. Large parking lots, and very nice staff.
The employees are super nice. We got there at 10am as soon as they opened and had a private wine tasting with just our party because we were the only ones there. Was amazing for $15. We were told stories about the wine and could taste a whole list of them and got a free glass of our choice from the list at the end. The only thing I did not enjoy was the $13 tour...It was only about a 10min long tour of one warehouse. And we weren't even shown the whole thing, only the front. And none of the workers were actually making any wine at the time. Not even bottling any of the wine. So we stood outside of the bottling room and watched a three minute video of how it's done. I'm just a little upset that me and my guests payed $13 each to watch a video of wine being made when we were all expecting to see it first hand. I think $13 would maybe be a good price if people were actually working and making wine in the warehouse while you tour, But just for stepping in the warehouse and walking around a few hundred feet and then being shown a video, I think the price should be more like $5but, like I said, other than the tour, we had a good time with the tasting, and the employees were very nice! We will probably be coming back again just not doing the tour next time.

My wife and I stopped by for lunch with our 5 year old foster son. We're wine club members so we got our complimentary glasses of wine. My wife had the chef's special- grilled chicken alfredo over linguine , I had the Summer Fruit Salad and our foster had the peanut butter and jelly sandwich. One of the waitstaff stopped by and brought him crayons and paper to draw on( that was great!). Everything was delicious!

Duplin Winery is the place to be for a delicious lunch, a glass of wine and a little retail therapy. The staff is inviting and helpful, the wine is the best and you MUST try the cheesecake. I can't wait to visit again.

A must stop for muscadine wine lovers. The winery is easy to locate and you pass beautiful vineyards on your drive there. I parked conveniently right out front. I used the restroom and then perused the shop. The winery is packed with numerous items available to purchase and bottles after bottles of wine. They had more than enough flavors to choose from and all seemed reasonably priced (about $6-$20). I decided on a bottle of Hatteras Red and a bottle of Blackberry Wine. They do offer tastings, but I did not have time. We drank the wine at a later date and really enjoyed it. It had a good flavor without being overwhelmingly sweet (as some muscadine wines can be). Overall, we had a good experience and recommend this winery to others!

Stopped at the winery and bistro today on the way to Wilmington. Easily accessible off I-40. Everyone was incredibly friendly. The wine tasting offered a great variety and Kelly, the server, was very knowledgeable. We stayed for lunch at the bistro and everything was delicious.
