Clean and trendy place. Tasty food (but mashed potatoes were over salty). Good portions but a bit pricey. Enjoyable meal overall.

Used to be one of our favorites, the food was always very good especially the fish and chips but the last two times I had it it was awful.About two weeks ago we went back ordered the fish and it looked and tasted like it had been deep fried and put in the frig for a few days and then microwaved and served mushy coating was not edible it's a shame because it used to be very crispy and fresh, so maybe a new cook was hired I don't know but I just thought management should be aware

We had Texas Pete Dry Rub chicken wings and they were delicious. I had the Boondock Blue Ridge Brutal Brown beer which I recommend.

Great place for lunch or dinner. Relaxing and enjoyable on a cool winter day. Alexis was fantastic. I am partial, because they support the annual Blue Ridge Brutal bicycle ride. Fish and chips (amazing) with a beer. Couldn't finish it all.

We live in the area and were honestly pretty excited to try one of the local restaurants in the area, little did we know that a pretzel, two orders of fish and chips and two alcohol drinks would cost us over a hundred dollars. I don’t know how they managed but my partners fish was burnt on the outside and slimy battery on the inside. If you want a decent meal for a decent price then you should go literally anywhere else in West Jefferson. Only bad experience we have had with one of the local restaurants. I have tried to update my star rating to one star, but it won’t let me do anything under two stars, but if it were up to me, this restaurant would give zero stars.

Food is good. Better than it used to be. Glass things seen to be improving. Service still seems to need improvement.

Service was very slow with a half full restaurant that still required a half hour wait. Waitress seemed very uninterested in any timely service while paying noticeably different level of service to those around us and once received our bill we realized they added automatic 20% gratuity so there was no need for her to actually provide good service to earn it. Ordered fish & chips - very bland and boring to say the least. The fries were alright so there’s that. Kids chicken tenders was also flavorless and burnt.

I stopped by for a pint and a crowler before heading out of WJ and that became a fiasco.First, they didn’t have the draft cider listed on their menu. Okay, no problem, I’ll take the other one that’s similar. It was a solid pint, so I asked for a crowler to go. That took over half an hour For some reason, they couldn’t get the crowler sealing machine working. The bartender said to just go enjoy my pint and she’d bring out the crowler. After a while I walked inside, then they told me the machine was broken. They didn’t really offer a solution until a pressed them. I’d already paid for my crowler and had a receipt with the time on it. Finally, staff asked me to walk down to their brewery.Once I got to the brewery, they spent some more time fiddling with their crowler sealing machine and couldn’t get it working either. These folks were moving as slow as molasses until I finally told them I’ve been waiting on it for over half an hour and was trying to leave. It gets a little better here. Once they caught onto the time constraints, and the time that I had been waiting, they sent me BACK down the street to the restaurant again. Since they couldn’t get their machine working, I suggested just upgrading me to a growler (64 oz versus the 32 oz I’d bought and they went with it.From here, someone more senior stepped in at the restaurant and was filling my growler by the time I got back. I was happy to be free to carry on my day.It was kind of frustrating how the staff kinda blamed me for ordering something off the menu. If crowlers are difficult, maybe let me know before I order, pay, and wait for one? They also said a few times “it’s not even one of our own drafts” — I would’ve ordered a cider from you if you had one of your own available on draft.Aside from that, I enjoyed a nice conversation with some random couples at the bar while I was waiting and got a really good feel for the environment and it was nice. Folks had their kids, adults were hanging out, and it’s a solid atmosphere.- kids were outside throwing beanbags at the chairs because the cornhole boards were not out. Little weird and figured you’d see those if the bags were out.

Visited on a recent Saturday morning and was pleasantly surprised with the variety of offerings. Some better than others, but all pretty decent. We tried to get seated for lunch, but there was some kind of miscommunication and couldn't get a table, so I can't vouch for the grub. Otherwise, not a bad little brewery

This place is terrible. WaIt staff couldn't care less if you stay or go.Less than half of tables seated and still advising it will take over an hour to get food. Couldn't get their attention to order a beer even when standing at the waitress stand. We left and won't bother to stop next time we are in town.
