Excellent, well prepared, tasty food. The lamb satay was perfect as were the shrimp fritters. Beer selection is a bit limited but the ones stocked are flavorful. Very affordable and portion size is spot on.
Lovely gem! Have you ever experienced a meal so authentic, so flavorful and satisfying you can taste the care it took to prepare it to make it great. That is the experience I had here! Not only was the food great but owner/cook came to my table twice to make sure I was enjoying his creations. I had the spring rolls and the veggie fried noodles, was so into my meal I missed talking pictures. Before I left the owners wife came over and gave me 2 sauces to try at home. This WAS a great restaurant, but unfortunately closed (since July 2019, I understand). 2.5 hr drive from Raleigh, but it was worth it. Why not open the Candlenut in Raleigh? Maybe better market for Indonesian food than Wilmington?
