I'm pretty late to putting this up but after Friday October 21, 2022, they will be closing their doors. I loved this place as a kid and it hurts to see one of your childhood places close down.Burgers, hot dogs, cherry dipped cone ice cream ?, these are the three things that come to mind when I think about this place. Will definitely be missed. As the saying goes"All good things come to an end"

I stopped at this establishment to get a snack, the owner is a friend of mine and my brothers. It's a wonderful place to visit to meet knew people and eat lunch, only one thing I recommend when ordering any food make sure whoever takes your order remember what you ask for on your burgers in other words check your food order before you walk out of the establishment, a practice I founded to me very important as a customer. Came here today with my daughter for us to get icecream. First I wasn't feeling the atmosphere when I got in..I felt very uncomfortable. Someone who works there I dont know if its the manager or an employee was sitting down with other people at the table talking unprofessional.Second, when I ordered my ice cream I said a icecream on a cone (the soft chocolate kind). A young female co-worker looked at me with a disgusted look and made a smart comment when all she had to say was we don't sell the soft chocolate icecream. I didn't know that. The other Char's in Lexington does so I thought by them being a Char's restaurant too that they would sell it too. I made a mistake..I didn't know. I didn't ask for all the smartness and disrespectful looks. When you in customer service you talk to the customers to let them know that we don't sell that kind. Instead she gave me the hard kind of ice cream without even asking me was this okay.I ordered 3 icecreams with one scoop only. Tell me why it came up close to $10 and the amount of icecream they gave was not barely even a scoop.I WILL NEVER IN MY LIFE GO BACK!! EVEN IF SOMEONE OFFERED TO PAY FOR MY FOOD. SMH...
I have had char’s before and they were really good I had it like twice in a week I always get their hot wings but when I went this time today, I ordered their big bacon burger and hot wings, the burger was not good at all for my taste someone else may like it depending on their taste buds right! But for me it was not good it was not juicy it’s was very dry and I was just not what I though and then the wings was not good either which blew my mind because they are normally good but this will be the last time I will be getting food from them ever again I guess I wanted too bad! But the service is always good. I just hate spending money on food I did not enjoy smh but it happens.
