Wanted to really like this place but we won't be back. They are extremely rigid with their menu, and didn't make their normal Sunday brunch item, the Monte Cristo, available on Easter holiday for reasons unknown (our server did ask for us at least). After trying to order off the lunch menu and getting denied, I got the $25 4oz steak and eggs which was unimpressive. Atmosphere is nice inside but whatever cleaner/disinfectant they use had an overpowering odor.

The food and atmosphere were exceptional. Service was a bit lackluster. Wish we hadn't had to ask repeatedly for drinks, or wait so long for the check and check-out. The ribeye was fork tender and extraordinarily tasty. The shrimp & grits as good as any we've ever had. We'll go again and again.

Ordered a salad with a piece of grilled salmon. The salmon was 1''' wide and 5 inches long. The waitress should have noticed! Probably should have said something while I was there, but the Martini seemed more interesting at the time last night, 3/5/24. They will never see me or anyone I know again. Shame on you!

I think the food was good but overpriced for what it was. I definitely have eaten better for what we paid. Nice place though and the service was good.

One of my favs in Winston. Budget $25.00 per plate. We have had several servers all are very good (Michael) is a fav of ours. The Hostess is very gracious. Enjoy a wonderful dinner, I know you will be back. We do both dine in and take out. They do Smoke House Chicken, ever so good. Very tender chicken, bar b que sauce, bacon, cheese, it is better here than anywhere else. Their home made bread is great.Parking: Ware the shoes you want to walk a block in.
Dog tolerant, not dog friendly. We had our dogs along, and they asked us to sit and eat at tables out on the sidewalk, even though they had outside seating with heat lamps off the street, and no other people were sitting there. The food was fine. The hostess and server were great.Parking: They have their own parking lot.

Great place for a date night or family gathering. The atmosphere was cozy and romantic. The food was great and the staff were very friendly.
I enjoyed the food choices, how rapidly the food came out, and how tasty the dishes were. The chairs at our table all had crumbs and food stains, which was a bit off putting. I got a generous glass of wine. My date could not detect any gin in her martini. I would come back.
We loved our first dining experience at the Old Fourth Street Filling Station. The food was delicious, and the restaurant was quaint and romantic. The perfect venue for Valentine's Day. We willl definitely be repeat customers.
Our Valentine's dinner experience was great! My girlfriend and I had their braised short ribs with sweet mashed potatoes, and sautéed Brussels sprouts with pancetta. It was amazing! Highly recommended venue for date night!

I had a blackened salmon with salad and it’s always delicious that’s all I can say!!

The Filling Station has always been a favorite place of ours. Tonight however was the first time I left disappointed. Ive always raved about the filet mignon but tonight it just wasn't as good. Normally bread is served but not tonight. We were given paper napkins rather than the cloth napkins. I don't know, just a different experience tonight.
