It was a trip down memory lane. The food is still excellent and staff were all pros. It has shifted to a more family feel inside versus the bohemian feel I remember from 2002ish. (also it was a Saturday night) I'm greaful they are still in business. I miss the eucalyptus tree out front. Try the reuben.

Quaint and funky café based mostly on the clientele. Apparently a hot spot for older couples, either married or not. Good sandwiches. Excellent Brunswick stew. Friendly wait staff.

Great food. Service was decent, but time from order to served was almost 30 min.
Came in needing to be back across the street with three sandwiches and sides within 15mins. They turned it around with time to spare, and the food was delicious. A+, a great option if you happen to be under deadlines imposed by the lawyers across the street.

We were asked to leave! It's happened to other customers. Read the most recent reviews. We were a party of six adults, who were NOT drunk (only 1 of us had 1 glass of wine), loud or rude. Our reservation was at 5p on Saturday 1/20/24. At approximately 6:30, immediately after taking our last bite of dessert, the owner/manager came to our table and asked us to leave. He said he had a party of 7 with children who needed a table. We were seated in the back, near the kitchen. It is our belief that the owner/manager wanted the children of the other party, at the back of the restaurant. Our total tab was approximately $300, having had appetizers, entrees, dessert and coffee. This is NO way to treat customers. I have NEVER been asked to leave a restaurant. If you want to spend a nice, leisure meal with friends, DON'T dine at West End Café, they will ask you to leave. What a horrible experience. We won't be back, EVER!!

Old school joint in my favorite part of Winston Salem! Parking is tricky when it is busy, but overall there is plenty of street parking when their lot is full. Food is solid and service is great! Very cool large bar with full service beverages.
