Anchalee Thai is one of few restaurants in town that I frequent on a regular basis. I probably order lunch from them a couple times a month.(One of my coworkers has a regular Thai Tuesday).The food is fresh and really good. I usually get the Green Curry with Shrimp, but everything is good.On this visit I ordered the Star Noodle with Shrimp for the first time. It was good, though I enjoy the curry more.The lunch portions are generous.Prices are reasonable and the service is great.They have not opened up the restaurant after the pandemic so it's take out only. (Thus the 3 stars in the atmosphere rating )

I had take out. The food is very average. They didn’t ask me how spicy I wanted it. When I picked it up I asked if there was any spice in it; she said “no” but gave me a little on the side. I probably will try somewhere else for Thai next time. It was a very reasonable lunch thank goodness. I didn’t eat it all.

We ordered Green curry with chicken & Ginger Scallion for lunch. They were delicious. 4 level heat on the curry was fire. 3 level on the Ginger Scallion was perfect. The yom yom chicken soup was delicious. The price was great too!Take out only. We just took our food to a food court.

The take out only service was fine as the dining room is closed. My meal was freshly prepared but lacked flavor.
I love this place. Crispy chicken pad Thai is my #1 suggested dish if you're new to the cuisine. There are several good plates there but it's a shame there is no more inside seating so date nights are out of the question there. Unfortunately the prices didn't go down with this drop in service but I will still go there from time to time for some of my favorite Thai dishes.

*Update 3/20/23. I can no longer recommend this place as they still haven't opened the dining room after COVID. We live a half hour away and it's not good by the time we get home. I'm tired of eating it in my car so we won't be back until they open the dining room.The most authentic and best tasting Thai food in East NC. Friendly staff and good sized portions. The lunch prices can't be beat.

Wonderful, wonderful Thai food! The texture and taste were absolute perfection! The lady was so kind. I really wish the dining room was open. I would love to sit down and have an array of various dishes arranged in a delightful fashion.
