My body doesnt tolerate much Mexican food, but this is one place I go to once in a while. my last time here was around a month ago at night, the atmosphere was alright, had a bit of a dull feeling for me being what it is, i been to this location for the last 2 or 3 resteraunt changes, and they havent really changed the inside.the food is good for me, no complaints on that, just a bit salty.the service is what it is, you got 3 families left inside, dont expect 3 waiters, only 1 person. no need wasting money on 3 servers, i dont blame them. overall, i would say they average for what they are compared to all the other mexican style resteraunts.

The booth I'm sitting in is disgusting with the wall looking like someone got sick sitting here, the menu was covered with sticky and dried food. Makes me wonder how the kitchen looks. And there was a wait to be greeted and then the girl acted like it was an inconvenience. The kitchen music is louder than the dining music. I've been here before and it wasn't this bad but it's going downhill quick. I almost got up to walk out but I'll wait to see how the rest of my visit goesMy Facebook post: I'm trying not to be negative this year but my dinner craving got ruined the moment I walked into the restaurant. I should have walked out but I wanted to see how the rest of my visit would go. Lol.1. I walked in and I hear loud kitchen music and nobody around to even know I walked in so I stood there maybe 8 minutes2. The girl finally sees me and seemed like she was bothered I was there but grabs a menu and walks me to a booth and leaves quickly. I'm noticing the kitchen music is louder than the dining music.3. The booth wall looks like it got puked on and my menu is sticky and has all sorts of dried foods on it. I have now lost my appetite4. Waitress brings me a drink menu because I only ordered water to start so I decide a traditional mint mojito sounds good. But I ordered my food and drink.5. She brings me my chips and salsa, then minute later my food and my drink and she left quickly. I tasted the drink after seeing there's no mint in it and it tasted exactly like a margarita.6. Started eating my chips and salsa and found a tiny hair in the salsa so I decided not to eat anymore of that and hoped she would ask about my food.7. She finally shows up and asks me how it all tastes so I told her that's definitely not a mojito so she takes it and I asked her to just remove it not remake it. She mentioned the manager took it off.8. I took few more bites of my food and realized I'm just not enjoying this experience when I've been to this place before. I was actually getting upset but I'm dining alone and didn't want to bring attention to myself to the one 4 top next to me.9. I then asked for my check but then told her, I know it's not on her, but this wall made me lose my whole appetite. She went and told her manager. I mentioned that it makes me wonder how the kitchen looks.10. As I'm signing for my check, I realize the place is empty, everyone is jamming in the kitchen, and the manager reduced my meal $1. Again, there was hardly anyone there and I'm thinking this place is going downhill. I also see dining chairs with salsa that was splashed up on it that could have been easily cleaned up.It might take me a very long time before I give this place another chance at this location. I try not being so critical but I had high expectations as a manager in the cleanliness field due to knowing first impression isn't always the last.And today on 1/11 I called to speak to the manager and they get in at 430 to 5pm. And the more I think about it I sure wish I got my money back now that I read their health board comments off people working without hairnets. Could explain the reviews I saw about hair in the food and the hair in my salsa. I did still to the server thinking it wasn't her fault but in reality they are the ones to clean their stations and floor space

Cheese dip had hair in it.Shrimp shell was in my burrito.And the Manager was drinking alcohol during my visit and never came to apologize about the hair in the food or my food. Wouldn't recommend. Over 30 dollars for this type of service I won't be returning. The server was nice. Time 8/24/235-8pm

I'm not very fond of the Mi Cabana restaurants but this particular visit sparked reason for review. Generally, the food is not to my liking but I thoroughly enjoyed my burrito supreme and the kids enjoyed their shared ACP. This is one of my wife's favorite restaurants so of course she liked her Steak Alambre, though she wishes there were more tortillas served with the meal.The plate temperatute is something to be discussed though. They are served SCALDING hot (the actual plate). Even the salad (lettuce, tomato, sour cream...not supposed to be cooked at all) for the steak alambre was served on a "too hot to touch" plate. I think it's a bit overkill.Parking: It's a very cramped spot in front of the store, especially for anything larger than a full size care (i.e. truck, mini van, etc)

It's good, quick and reliable right off the Pitt Community College campus.The lunch specials are all under $10, so it's comparable to all of the fast food options nearby but way better.I got the MiCabana Lunch special. Grilled Chicken Brwat served with Rice, Beans and Salad with 2 Tortillas. Very large portion and it was delicious.It's one of my go-tos for meeting colleagues for lunch.

The server never came and checked on us our refilled or drinks then waited about 20 mins after we were done to bring the check. And mind you there was only 2 other couples in the whole restaurant...
