I travel quite a bit for work and I have dined at some very nice restaurants across the country. I was very pleased with this 40 Steak and Seafood. The food and service were great, and the atmosphere was unique.
First visit to Bismark ND.Supper with no reservation on a February Wednesday night.So glad we were able to get a table.Amazing first impression outdoors...Completely amazed at the decor and ambience when we entered and escorted to our table.We ordered Tenderloin steaks ? Baked potato ? this is a big spud!House salad ? this is a big helping!Bottle of Red ??Great menu and uncomplicated dining options. ?The steaks were cooked to perfection, moist and flavorful ?Medium rare & MediumStaff were so welcoming and friendly.Excellent service.Thanks to everyone for a great evening out.A special thanks to the chef's ??????and kitchen crew who are seldom seen. We appreciate what you do!Well done.... Pun intended ?We will be back ?

My first experience at 40 Steak + Seafood. Everything was amazing, the wait staff was very accommodating and polite. The ambiance was perfect for a relaxed dinner. The only complaint was the very long wait for each step of our meal. Drinks, appetizers, main course and dessert all too a while to be served, albeit it was Valentine's Day and the restaurant was very busy so we had no problem waiting as the staff was very busy and still was able to provide an excellent experience. The food was delicious from the first bite to the last! Cooked and seasoned to perfection, my fiancé and I both thoroughly enjoyed our meal and experience.

If I could give 0 stars or negative stars I would Worst experience I’ve ever had at restaurant especially with this high of caliber restaurant, where it all starts me and my girlfriend had a reservation at 7 o’clock. A few of the waitresses were just talking in a circle and told us someone will be there in a minute not willing to help. Took us about five minutes to get seated then did not see anybody for a minimum of 20 to 25 minutes, then the waitress that wasn’t even supposed to be helping us was just rude and arrogant. Took another 10 minutes just to get our drinks as well as bread the lettuce was dry and tasteless then told me after I finish my raspberry lemonade that there was no free refills in a rude attitude again. So I asked for water waited another 10 to 15 minutes just to get my water. The burgers were decent. I had ordered the mac & cheese and found plastic in. It told the waitress and she said it could be bone when clearly it was plastic and shiny instead of comping, the meal only took off the five dollar mac & cheese. Just a horrible overall experience will never come back and will recommend no one to come to that restaurant.

My wife and I went to 40 on a whim and absolutely loved the food and environment there. I had the lobster bisque and stuffed gnocchi. I would highly recommend both.

I have eaten here several times and have always been extremely satisfied. Chef Allen came to my table to recommend how the cook the two Tomahawk ribeye's I took to go for my Christmas dinner. Whenever I am in Bismark I always make it a point to come here for supper. The first time my wife and I ate here we ordered the dry aged Tomahawk steaks, and the Chef invited us to see the cooler they use for dry aging an explained the process to us, very impressive. These are the best steaks you will ever eat, worth every penny. The staff was very attentive and well trained.
