Hamburgers are terrific.. they also have buffalo burgers…onion rings are to die for… they also have super delicious broasted chicken too… takes a little more time to make. But worth itWhen I have the craving for hamburgers and onion rings, which are ground and made fresh daily, this is where I fix that craving..

We were passing through on a long trip and checked this place out. We got takeout. The burgers were delicious. The fries and onion rings could’ve used more salt, but they provided salt, pepper, ketchup and mustard on the side. We splurged on a cookie which was also delicious. I wanted to try a malt, but figured I had done enough damage with the burgers, sides, and cookie. The meals were provided in a box which helped as we were eating in the car. I’d definitely go back.

Three of us were well pleased with the burgers and soup we ordered. You guys do the best burgers. 2 of us had the January special. We added extras to make them extra special! We each had a cup of soup. The perfect pairing for a North Dakota sub zero day. I left warm inside and just the perfect amount of full for $15. It was a joy to have such fast service and a great wait staff!

We had lunch here one day and it was pretty good. I am not a huge fan of thick burgers, and theirs were thick. My husband liked his a lot though. He likes them like that and was very happy that he was able to get onion rings too. We both liked that fact that it was a non-chain burger place. We really like to try those independent places when we can. Even though I didn't have an an out of this world experience, I would still recommend this place. Next time I might try something else.

I had an early dinner tonight at the Wood House restaurant in Bismarck. You order your meal by speaking to someone over a telephone. The aesthetic was a wood panel dream with hunter green ceilings and peel-n-stick carpet squares to rival an 80's arcade. It was early so it wasn't crowded but I got the feeling that everyone brought a date there at some point. I just ordered the hamburger deluxe with jalapeños. It was delicious and I would recommend this place to anyone stay over or passing through

I do not normally leave feedback but we had family who ate here on 12/9/21. The manager was extremely rude on more than one encounter throughout the visit. We have visited this restaurant for 30+ years while living in Bismarck, still frequent it upon our returns but will never eat here again. We understand everyone has a bad day and it appeared the restaurant was understaffed yesterday which may have caused the frustration on the managers behalf; however, the demeanor displayed by the manager yesterday afternoon was inexcusable and will not be forgotten for some time. The food was good but we sincerely hope that the manager who was on staff yesterday afternoon understands how his interactions with customers can have a lasting effect.

New ownership has made a lot of disappointing changes. Eliminating most of the daily soups is the worst. I used to go there specifically for the chicken noodle, chicken dumpling, and beef noodle soups. Those are all gone now. Also apparently you can't order grilled cheese if you are a drive-thru customer. They only serve it if you are a sit-down customer. You can get a cheese frenchee from drive-thru though. What sense does that make?

Overpriced, bad service and to top it off, hair in our "home made ranch!" How do you compensate? Take $1.50 off the bill... Shaking my head, should've expected much from the home of world's great hamburger. I'll just go to BK next time.

Food at the Woodhouse is as good as it always has been! The atmosphere is still fun- you get to call your order in from your table. Our food was super hot and freshly made, and delicious. Currently they have a limited menu, but everything is a long time favorite. The customer service is very friendly, and overall we enjoy going there! It is a family friendly place.

This is my fiancée's FAVORITE restaurant. Pretty sure she'd eat every meal here, if I would let her. The food is really good! The prices are great! And we LOVE the atmosphere!

Met a friend for lunch and had the cheese frenchee and a cheeseburger. The fries hit the spot; just the right amount of spice.

I stopped by this little joint as we were passing through ND, and I am so glad I did! Solid burger (a little on the greasy side but isn't that what makes a delicious bite?) and friendly, chatty staff. The phones at the booths are pure brilliance, and the house made ranch was a nice touch. Great little classic burger place. Skip the chain stores and support your local businesses instead. They deserve it!

One of our favorite places for burgers and onion rings. The onion rings have a light batter, tasted homemade. Friendly service.
