Spanish speaking only staff was an important green flag for authentic Mexican and the rest of the meal proved to be true. Good service would have been excellent if I spoke Spanish. Great food.

Was a little busy when we went. It made service a bit slow but not bad at all. Food was excellent as always.

Always great food and drinks!! Visited and ate several times throughout the year due to living in a nearby city 45 minutes from Fargo. I was never disappointed with their in restaurant service or food. My favorite dish has been the "Pollo Azteca". Comes with nopal slices, and sauce, beans and rice. Can't forget the warm chips and great tasting house made salsa they start you off with while ordering. The horchata is great with ice and a dash of cinnamon on top. The restaurant is usually always busy but I have tried to eat there before the crowds arrive for lunch or dinner. The restaurant is brightly colored and decorated accompanied by some banda or mariachi music for give it the feeling of authenticity. You will leave full and happy. I have ordered take out here as well, and picked it up before going home. The only thing I have to say was disappointing was (twice) on takeout orders, I had to finish cooking the rice because pieces of it were still hard. Biting into that is not the best experience when everything else was cooked to perfection. My advice would be to tell them to make sure to cook the rice completely before packing it in the takeout containers. I don't know why that happened only when ordering takeout, I never had the hard rice pieces issue while eating in the restaurant.

The salsa tasted funny and our queso was cold. Some waiter guy was talking about our table because I guess he didn't realize I spoke Spanish. Our entree was good but that's the only good things abt our experience.

Update after two recent take-out orders in past two months. We eat out roughly 1-2 times per month tops. The last few times, we used Acapulco because of a love for Mexican food .My second to last meal had pulled chicken that was definitely allowed to dry out.I gave Acapulco another chance, where could have just been rested for too long on takeout order... Besides being overcooked. The pictures show my meal from last night, which was supposed to be carnitas asada rib-eye.This was absolutely a mixup and the cook was likely just confused on cuts of meat where this was plain as day a Carne Asada with an over-cooked skirt steak, not a ribeye, no way.. I almost broke a metal fork while trying to slice it on a plate with a serrated steak knife.I wouldn't have made a deal out of it with a poor review, but a skirt steak is significantly cheaper than ribeye cuts, so I paid a lot more $$** for the wrong** meal that was also over-cooked. Again, whether over rested for a short pickup order, we live 1.5 mi from the establishment, so it didn't get a long rest time. So they should be able to adjust done* temps for takeout versus dine-in restaurant orders.Aside from these annoyances, I can't recommend eating take out from this place. We've had luck with a few burritos, chimis' and fajitas orders, but not my last two heavier meat dishes. I did eat some of my wife's sliced diced fajita sirloin, which was good at least.Great food for the most part. Great portions otherwise.. I really wanted to keep my stellar review of this place, but our experiences have weakened there.
