First time dining for 6 out of the 10 of us. The food was very good as the waiter did a fantastic job with helping us with level of spice in the dishes we ordered. The ambience was ok although I am sure our table affected dining for others close by. Service was very good as were the drinks. I was a bit disappointed in the overall appearance of the restaurant, I was expecting a better dining experience. I am sure we will be back. Overall grade is a 4.2 out a 5

Had a reservation, got sat, and waited 20 minutes before getting up, and after getting up was told the server didn’t know we’d were in his section (as he walked past 10 times) don’t waste your time coming here. Sincerely- people traveling

Sat down for 20 minutes before getting up, and before walking out was told the server “didn't know he had us in his section” (as he walked past us 10 times) don't waste your time, I had a reservation and still didn't get waited on.

First time here yesterday and was really impressed! The food (chicken satay, pad Thai, and khao soi) were are delicious and large portions. Our server was REALLY good. Atmosphere very nice.Lost one star unfortunately because we went to the “wrong” door (from inside the Grand Manse building as it was our first time going and didn’t know where to enter. I called them and told them where we were and they told us that we were at the wrong entrance. Rather than walking 50 feet, opening the door and letting us in, the hostess told us to go outside in the 5 degree temperature, trudge through the 8 inches of snow on the ground and come through the outside entrance. This was especially unfortunate when they propped open the original door we came to (the inside one) while we were eating.Obviously this isn’t a huge deal, but it left enough of a negative impression to take away a star. A well trained, good hostess would’ve made an exception because of the bad weather outside and come let us in the door we were at.Parking: Need to find parking on the street or in a garage.

Peyton was our server. He did a nice job - responsive, timely, good communication... we were the first guests and it was very quiet and enjoyable. We love the Blue Orchid...will be back!

Our wait person, Jonathan, was excellent. He was efficient, friendly, and really went above and beyond to make our dining experience delightful. We enjoyed chatting with him. The food was all delicious and served in a timely manner. We enjoyed the overall dining experience and we will be back!

Great food, service, ambience! First time at Blue Orchid Thai. Delicious food, the coconut soup was perfect! Large wine list so if you don't know wines use the Vivino app or similar. You won't be disappointed! We will return soon for our Thai fix! *****

I enjoyed the lamb masaman a lot. I didn't get it this good anywhere else in the US so far. If you order a pad thai and find it a bit too sweet, ask the staff for some fish sauce on the side. Adding some will make it much better.

Blue Orchid used to be one of my favorite restaurants, but the service has gotten steadily worse over the last several years. At this point it's downright terrible. The wait staff seems disengaged, rarely checks on you, and this last time borderline snarky. I asked for chili oil and was met with “well, that describes a lot of things here”. Come on, chili oil/chili crisp is something Blue Orchid has had forever and if the staff doesn't know what I'm talking about they can ask for details or ask the kitchen. No need to be rude. I waited my entire meal for a water refill and was never asked if I needed anything else after the food was brought out. Finally, the entryway for the past several months has smelled like sewage. There is clearly a problem and the fact that it hasn't been dealt with in months reflects poorly on the entire restaurant, imo.

Ordered takeout, and the wait was longer than I was told. They weren't really sure what was in the bag I was handed, and didn't include requested sauces or to-go silverware.I really wanted to love it, but the Pad Thai was just okay, but the spring rolls were very underwhelming.

Disappointing would be the best word, I can think of. Service was really slow, food was bland at best. I ordered the blue crab meal, had them add extra blue and bean sprouts and hardly found either the blue crab or bean sprouts. We won't be back.

Our waiter was excellent but unable to guide our wine choices. Chicken Tiki kebobs were excellent offering two kinds of dip. The peanut dip was the best. Fresh mixed salads with the usual two dressings never disappoint. I had the Pacific Medley the dish only costing $20 including white rice steamed to perfection. The wife enjoyed the steak with peanut sauce. This is our favorite Lincoln restaurant and only once in 12 years has been a disappointment.

Host sat a customer at an adjacent table with a barking dog. Not a service animal, an untrained pet. The barking disruption ruined any enjoyment with the dining experience. The manager apologized but did nothing to correct the disruption.

What a wonderful place! Also. . . The portion sizes are awesome and amazing! I had leftovers for lunch the next day!
