Yum! I came here with my mom and her friend. They had both eaten here before but it was my first time. I really enjoyed it! It has a diner feel that is contemporary but also old-school touches. The big red booths and sport lights remind me of a place that people young and old can come. You go up to the register, order, pay, and find a seat. We showed up to the Oakview Smitty's for some early dinner before a movie this evening only to be greeted by a sign saying that the location had 'relocated' down to the 76th and Dodge location. There was even a moving crew there gathering up all the outside furniture. WHAT HAPPENED?!? We were there just over a week ago. This has been our go-to burger place since it opened. Smitty's was described to me as, "where you can have a kick a** burger and beer without dealing with a hipster crowd." I think that's a decent description... This location at Oakview was empty when I came in at 11:30 on a Tuesday. They are what I consider a half-service restaurant where you order and pay at the counter and they bring the food out to you.
