I had a lovely lunch here with my friends. There was only one server, but she was efficient as she could possibly be.

Had dinner at the Copper Moon with friends. The hamburgers were very good. Juicy and great flavor. Chicken Fried Steak was average, not something I would get again. Cheese curds were sitting in a pool of grease and smashed pancake thin in the middle of the pile. Definitely couldn’t eat them all and the waitress noticed the grease and said she understood why we can’t eat the rest. Not bad food but not something I would drive from Lincoln for.

We were excited to try a new local restaurant for a birthday in our family and were wanting a good steak. What we got between 8 of us was NOT good. The cheese curds and onion straws were sooo loaded with grease you couldn't eat barely any with out getting a stomach ache from the grease. My husband go the chicken fried chicken that barely had any breading and was bland. Both my father and husband had gotten the mashed potatoes as a side, and both complained of the potatoes having a bad "chemical" taste. My father and I both got a steak (I splurged for the $26 NY strip, bad mistake). Both steaks were tuff and so bland. The side salads, which we all had also had a horrible chemical taste and, it was basically a bowl of lettuce with a pinch of shredded cheese tossed on top. Let's just say, the food was horrible unfortunately. Not to mention, there is no changing table in either restroom and the floor in the dining area was so sticky around our table you couldn't walk without your feet sticking to the floor. After leaving, we all were not feeling well and had horrible stomach aches, which after speaking with other friends that have ate there, they also have had stomach problems after eating there. Never again..

It's a little out of the way, but we thought we'd try it since they had prime rib. My husband has the prime rib and thought it was just ok. Nothing we'd drive out for again. Not really great flavor and a little tough. I started with French onion soup. I wouldn't get it again. It was more of beef consume with cheese. The chicken fried chicken, though that was really good. It's very juicy, great flavor, and what seems to be made from scratch pan gravy. The cocktail I had was also great. Overall, it's not terrible, but also not the wow we had heard it was.

Excellent service! They sincerely appreciated our business and went out of their way to accommodate. Each of the variety of dishes we had from prime rib to shrimp to chicken fried chicken was wonderful. Prime Rib sandwich was so tender and portion sizes were large. And they know how to make great sweet potato fries! Go visit them soon...

This past Friday night I was hankering for a nice heaping pile of bar food. I scoured some potential options within an hour of Omaha and landed on Copper Moon Steakhouse, a relatively new restaurant that first opened its doors in October of 2020 after a little handy work and redesign done by Sarah and Eric Florea. They selected the name “copper” because of the element’s healing properties of initiative and optimism, and “moon” at the suggestion of their now seven-year-old son Easton. The previous eight years it had been known as Palmyra Pub, and before that, it was the 5th Quarter Tavern. Dozens of photos adorn the walls that prove the building has been a restaurant or bar since at least the 1970s (as well as a saddle shop at another point)!Because they tout themselves as a steakhouse, some of the options are pretty extravagant, but others more closely resemble your typical small-town bar options. Some of their top caliber dishes include tender prime rib slow roasted to perfection, savory and flavourful New York Strips and Blackened Rib Eyes, and even seafood like jumbo shrimp, salmon, and Ahi Tuna Steak (the first time I’ve ever seen that dish on a menu anywhere). Other quality dishes range from comfort foods like chicken fried steak or chicken fried chicken, as well as Reubens, prime rib sandwiches, soup and salads, steakhouse burgers, bone-in wings, pizza, or sampler baskets made up of items like fried pickles, onion straws, and cheese curds. My girlfriend and I were lucky enough to visit on seafood night, and we enjoyed ourselves a mind-blowingly flavorful seafood feast. We had to split the platter between the two of us, but we got a total of two succulent butter-crusted lobster tails, a combined dozen jumbo fried shrimp and buttery sauteed shrimp, two strong servings of garlic mashed potatoes, a portion of rabbit food (salads), and my totally unbiased-opinion favorite part of it all, a staggering TWENTY tender, perfect crab legs. I’ve only had crab legs a couple other times in my life before, but these were sooo good that we had to take a solid forty-five minutes to truly savor and appreciate every last juicy bite. (Okay, I admit that we didn’t entirely know how to use the crab crackers because we’re not used to such extravagant meals, so it took a while for us to get to the meat. But they were AMAZING)!Naturally, you can’t chow down on a seafood feast and not polish it off with a little something sweet. We elected to take to the great outdoors and order the “tableside s'mores,” a cute little dish that let us roast our marshmallows over a tiny flame right from the comfort of our own table.
