Visited the Wicked Hen this morning for the first time. We walked in with a relatively large party and the staff welcomed us with smiles. The venue is small but very quaint and has a warm feel. The staff was friendly and attentive and the food was homemade deliciousness. We've found a gem in Springfield and will definitely be going back.
Just Googled breakfast near me and this was the first option and what a discovery! It was a little busy when we got there but not to much of a wait. We had the chicken fried steak and what they call the Hash Stacker, biscuits and gravey but with hash browns and eggs on top. It was all wonderful, I especially enjoyed how they toasted the homemade biscuits before smothering them in sausage gravey. I've been wanting to eat here for several months but haven't been able to make it fit into my schedule. Today I went for a birthday breakfast with a couple friends after a 10K and let me tell you this place did not disappoint!! Everything was amazing from the homemade cinnamon roll and donuts to the veggie omelette... I did mention number three of us right? Lol
