Excellent service, and quality of product though the service is better in the evening. The restaurant itself is small with narrow aisles and another large room to the rear of the bar, but the dining area is a carpet floor with a wine case dividing the room so noise is kept at a minimum. Ive ordered take out more than dining in, and the service is just about as equal. Never had a problem with this location in four years. Special thank you to the Chef for cooking the seafood risotto when it wasn't on the menu.
Have been to Vincents many times and have always had a great experience but tonight we sat at the bar and Lisa took care of us. She was awesome , very friendly she let us taste the wine without acting bothered she definitely loves her job. All restaurants should have employees like her . Food was great also
The atmosphere here was lovely! We visited with friends and even in the close quarters the noise level was low enough we could hear each other well. The food was beyond good! Most of the plates at our table were completely cleaned! The lasagna was the best I've had in a long time! A great find in New Orleans if you're looking for quiet and delicious food! The service here is also great, well dressed and very attentive.
This is my new favorite restaurant in New Orleans. Five stars from the delicacy, the ambience and service.
I'd go 4.5 stars even! Old Italian Restaurante feel, lots of servers, and wait staff overwhelming a small space. Management looking in on everything, talking to the regulars. Well, someday I hope to be one of those regulars! We walked in without reservations (we called earlier and were told reservations were not necessary) and got a very small table in the side dining room. I'm a big guy, and it was a PRETTY small table. Anyway, we ordered drinks... They came.. Water... THE FOOD: We ordered "Meatball on Garlic Toast" as an appetizer. The veal meatball was tender, seasoned perfectly, simply scrumptious, and even though it's HUGE.. left me wanting another! Its in a red sauce with garlic and oregano TOAST. Beautiful. Wow. My tastebuds are recalling the flavors now....HMMMM!! I got Corn and Crab Bisque in a bread bowl as a soup upgrade ($6.00 more), and it was also... superb. Creamy, and savory with crab and corn flavors, and bits of crab and whole corn in it. Sooooo delicious!! We got House Salads, mine with house vinaigrette, the girl who would be my girlfriend got a Bleu Cheese vinaigrette in hers. The greens were fresh and delicious and the house vinaigrette had a bright flavor, not too oily or vinegary. As far as the House Salad with Bleu Cheese vinaigrette, I was told it was the best salad of her life. I didn't try it, but judging by her expressions, the girl who would be my girlfriend was not making it up. ENTREES..... I ordered the Italian Sausage served on Angel hair with red sauce. The Italian Sausage was sweet and flavorful with anise and oregano and hit my nose as well as the tongue. Great taste. The red sauce had great tomato flavor, and was herb-y and good. I was disappointed with the Angel hair pasta. It was overcooked and flat tasting. The star of the night (besides her) was what my girl ordered. The Stuffed Chicken Breast. Stuffed with provolone, prosciutto, and artichoke hearts, then breaded, baked topped with mushroom marsala. The chicken done perfectly with all that stuffed, tasty goodness in it.....but then you have delicious, thick mushrooms in a marsala sauce that tastes of wine, smokey goodness, and savoryness that I haven't tasted that good since...... ever! I WILL be ordering it next time. Parking is a little tough being on St. Charles, but we'll take the streetcar next time. It's my new favorite Italian place!

Really good food. Some eclectic options. May not be great for picky eaters, but everyone in our party enjoyed their food. Particularly enjoyed the Vietnamese coffee and the blueberry thyme gelato for desert. Also, although there are no vegetarian options on the menu, they are extremely accommodating. The vegan in our group loved his meal.
Great service, with friendly staff who answered all our questions about the menu. The food was delicious - New Orleans inspired, without being the same old staples. Lots of creative blending of flavors. We were impressed by their use of Sichuanese ingredients.
Dim sum brunch is incredible--we ordered one of everything and never looked back. The oxtail dumplings and the seared octopus shumai were personals favorites. Also, definitely order the watermelon and roasted eggplant with blistered peppers.
Amazing food and service. Jonas was very knowledgeable and extremely nice! Beautiful ambience and lots of vegetarian options to choose from. I had noodles dish, Spring Carrot Gemelli, and it was out of this world delicious! I am a picky eater and I'm really impressed so, that says more than 5 stars!
Went here recently for the "dim sum" brunch they've advertised pretty heavily and wasn't too impressed. The staff was very friendly and the space is gorgeous and open but I can't really say I liked any of the dishes I had. I obviously didn't expect anything close to authentic dim sum but thought it'd be fun to see a local chef take on some of the classic dishes and add local flavors to them. My favorite dish was probably the sesame balls with pork sausage but that's because it was just ok. The bacon scallion pancakes were way too thin, the turnip cakes tasted burnt and I can't say the oxtail dumplings had any real flavor to speak of. The Octopus shumai were interesting but I'm not sure what the mustard was there for. Finally the Salt and Pepper Shrimp were tasty but there wasn't exactly a "twist" on them - I could have gotten more for less at any other dim sum joint. I'll have to come back and try this place for dinner or something but my impression is that the kitchen mashes up flavors so erratically that it can be very hit or miss and for me it's a miss.

Great food. Eclectic style. Would eat here again and again. Other reviews mention poor service, but this is a funky joint where you order your food and pay at the register, then find a seat. There aren't really waiters and waitresses per se, but a hostess and a bartender that bring food and drinks. Staff was attentive and helpful the entire time, providing refills. If we needed anything, we just asked at the bar. Loved everything about it.
Fantastic hole in the wall. The pasta is awesome and I've always had friendly service!
Loved that I could build my own pasta dish. Had the spicy tomato cream sauce and it was excellent.
Fresh and tasty food. Always get the meatballs the sauce is top notch. The selection is enormous and youll always have options to make your dish different. Love this place a lot.
I got the Bleu cheese pasta and it was very unique I liked the taste. Very nice environment and very friendly staff. The surrounding area is not the best but it's definitely worth it to stop by if you are in the French quarter.

This place rocked. You get to walk around and choose the wine you want, and the variety available is nuts! Our server, Chris, was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. The food was exquisite. The lasagna and boar cannelonni special were to die for. Truly a great place, with a nice romantic vibe.
Best Italian Restaurant walking distance from the FQ. Stephen, our supreme waiter, was amazing and accommodating with wine samples and repeating the dessert menu. Thank you Marcello's for helping us celebrate tonight. Cheers to life!
Great wine, greater service, even greater food. Amazing menu. Would definitely recommend it
Great little place. Stopped in for a drink. Great service, great wine list. Food looked great.
This place more than satisfied a last minute craving for Italian. The food was excellent. They also have an extensive and afordabe wine list. Additionally, they are a wine store. The staff is very knowledgeable and will help you make the perfect selection. We were especially impressed with the Manager, who after learning that we were interested in the history of the site, took us on a mini tour, showing us the details of the old Le Chat Noir, The Black Cat, a Prohibition Era speakeasy and burlesque house. Take a look at the tiled entrance and the black cat laid out there as you enter. Definitely worth a visit when in New Orleans.

Lovely meal here. Food was great but to be very critical there could be a bigger gap between starters and mains. Desert tasted like it had been frozen, was still quite nice.
I returned here after dining here during my last trip to New Orleans. It did not disappoint. Everything was delicious. Service was great. There was a bit of a wait, but it was well worth it. Probably my favorite restaurant in the city
This place is fantastic, great service and even better food. I read a review that slammed the duck, but I wanted to see for myself. I'm glad I did! It was crispy on the outside, moist and tender on the inside, and an explosion of wonderful flavors. The marinara mussels are also a must. I found the wine by the glass to be a bit overpriced and not as fresh as I would have liked. Overall I would definitely return here on my next visit.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food was great! You can order any appetizer as an entree. The chocolate cake was amazing for dessert! The decor is also really nice - there are different, small decorated rooms.
The oysters were delicious. I also ordered the red snapper. It came as a full fish which usually sketches me out. But omg was it delicious. Very tasteful and moist. I highly recommend ordering it.
