we walked into this place not knowing what it was, but it was the best decision of the day! Everyone is nice and friendly, almost all of them asked us if our sandwiches were good at some point during our meal. When I asked for another bag to take the rest of my sandwich home, they even re-wrapped it in foil for me. The sandwich I had was absolutely amazing, I can still taste it if I closed my eyes!
This is one of my favorite places on planet earth. Everybody there has a beautiful aura and the food is so special. I recommend the ischia! Ugh I wish I was there now
It was so good I forgot to take pictures! These guys make giant sandwiches with loads of stuff on it. The amount of food you get will fill you up for sure. Don't worry if you think the price is a touch high because you won't leave feeling ripped off. All nice folks behind the counter. We've been looking for a good place to get speck and prosciutto since we got back from Italy. All their ingredients are from Italy as well. It stayed busy while there too. And if you want, you can get canolis next door for dessert if you have room!
Enormous sandwiches. Quick service. Cash only. The New York was good and spicy. The Pisillo was on the sweet side due to the roasted red peppers and balsamic.
The portions here are VERY generous. Ingredients taste and feel fresh, and the service here was great. The dining area itself is a little old and unappealing, but the food here is worth it. Since it is definitely a hole-in-the-wall it doesn't stay very crowded ever.

Went here for my fiancés birthday while on holidays from Australia. We were a walk in on a busy Friday night, and Joe still accommodated us regardless. The service was friendly and the food was amazing. They surprised us with a few extra plates here and there and even came out with a slice of birthday cake without us knowing at the end of the meal. This cake was literally the best piece of desert that has EVER been put in my mouth. Only bad part is, I have no idea what sort of cake it was so I can't look for it again. The meal was well priced for what it is, and I would be more than happy to pay it again. And again. And again. Can not recommend this place enough.
Tourist trap right here. These are fake reviews or something because the place is nothing like what people make it sound like (or maybe people have extremely low standards of good food). We were the only table there. Food was tasteless and looked like leftovers. Waiters are not professional at all. Very sad to have fallen into their trap. If you dont believe me about this crappy place, I urge you to go find out yourself.
Wow! Visiting from Canada place was referred by a friend so we searched it out... Exceptional food, Huge portions, reasonable price, great atmosphere and easy to find too... Would highly recommend
Two trips to Forlini's and two great experiences. Family-owned with lots of personal service and recommendations. Derek (owner) and Tony (waiter) were fantastic. Was having trouble deciding between pesto gnocchi and manicotti and they made an entree with half of each. Thanks for a great meal!
Pretty good neighborhood restaurant. This is the kind of Italian dining experience I'm looking for. Simple but good pasta and nostalgic ambiance like what they have in mafia movies.

Awesome dinner tasting menu. Highly recommend this place! Every dish was different and complex. The pasta was perfect. Service was spot-on.
Wonderful way to spend our 10th Anniversary. They really made it a special night for my wife and me! Highly recommend.
Traditional Italian with good service but wish the ambiance was a bit more modern
Between the excellent tasting menu, nice staff, and the romantic atmosphere, my stomach was just as satisfied as my heart!
Go to scalini only if you have time. What a wonderful restaurant. Not inexpensive but the food is as good as it gets. The service is also top-shelf.

Amazing food - we ordered the sea bass (fish daily special) for $32 and a pasta meal. The dish served the entire sea bass - two fillets and a bed of vegetables. It was baked and spiced to absolute perfection! Service was outstanding and the ambiance was full of charm. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
House made pasta was on point! Delicious, light mint & arugula pesto was lively, not dark and weighty like so many others. Great staff, great service, and a precious atmosphere.
What a great place. The service and food is out standing. We can't wait to come back to the City.
Very nice and cozy place. I would say it has it's own spirit. The food is delicious. My favourite is tomato soup, endive salat and of course their best cheescake ever!
Cozy and popular - make reservations early! The tomato plate they serve with the bread is unlike anything I've had before - very distinct, very good! Daily pasta specials that have always been amazing.

Very beautiful space with amazing food! Really friendly and attentive service. Solid spot for a nice night out!
I came here for a business meeting that was recommended by a friend of mine and all I have to say is WOW. The one word that comes to mind is professionalism when I think of my experience here. The ambiance and decor is cool. I love it very cozy and easy on the eyes with a garden type theme going on. Listen fellas if you want to take your lady out to eat with a little romantic cool vibe this is a good spot to add to your list lol The dim setting they have also fits this place. Our waiter was the definition of efficient he dotted all the i's and crossed all the t's. He also respected our space as we talked business. I ordered the "Free Range Chicken with Lemon potatoes, and California spinach" and this dish was perfect WOW. I mean the chicken was Sooooooooo tender while being seasoned to perfection. Overall This place is extremely sexy from the customer service to the ambiance, to the quality of food. One observation was literally all waiters or bartenders etc.. telling you to have a good evening when you were leaving the establishment. I don't know if it the employees were trained to do that or whatever but it is a great touch to make you feel like a valued customer and feeling like I need to come back here spend more of my money lol. Definitely make reservations folks because even during the weekday it was packed in here. No five stars for a couple of reasons. For cost of entrees the portions could be slightly more just my opinion. Also no complimentary bread while you wait for your entree or appetizer is a no no lol That is pretty much standard not only for Italian restaurants but all restaurants these days. So yeah the cost to quantity ratio is lacking a little bit but the taste however is on point. I definitely will come back because overall experience was fantastic plus I need to come back for the Chicken Parm and Lobster Milanese which are calling my name as well speak
I have to eaten two lunches here. The first time I had some spaghetti and polpetti. The pasta was perfectly executed with the strings of doughy deliciousness accompanying the flavors from a light and flavorful tomato sauce. The meatballs were a nice accent as they often are, but in this case it was more due to execution than it was solely the enduring engineering of the dish. The second visit was the orchiette with sausage and rabe. It was flavorful with clear delivery of herb flavors accented by spicy peppers added to the dish. I enjoyed both meals immensely and visiting at 1:30 both times I found it was a comfortable experience as well. On hot days, the air conditioning was also a welcome addition to the experience.
Quick and friendly service. Nice atmosphere with candles and dimmed lights. Great wine and peppered linguine! And the dark chocolate olive oil cake was bomb as hell!
Great service especially enjoyed the fig salad nice texture and flavor combination.
