Chef Gordon Ramsay Opening A Baltimore Steakhouse In Horseshoe Casino
"MasterChef" and "Hell's Kitchen" chef Gordon Ramsay will open a new steakhouse in the Horseshoe Casino Baltimore. The Horseshoe Casino Baltimore marks the second location for the chef's steakhouse - Gordon Ramsay Steak. The first is at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino.
Ramsay's steakhouse is replacing the Jack Binion's Steak restaurant.
Ramsay said he loves Baltimore and everything it stands for and comes from it.
According to Ramsay, the menu is still being tweaked, but patrons can see signature dishes from his Las Vegas venue like the sticky toffee pudding and beef Wellington. The menu will also include regional specialties and seafood dishes such as fish chips using local beer batter, smoked bone marrow, British ale soup, etc.
He said he would be adding more of the East Coast foods into the menu since it'll be easier to source the food.
Ramsay also said he's talking with local purveyors to use local ingredients for some of the menu items. He said his team has been looking at Baltimore's foods to see how they can be added to and used in his foods.
Ramsay said the price point would average around $70 to $80 a head, which is nearly identical to Jack Binion's Steak but less than what you'd see at his Las Vegas restaurant.
Besides his roles on TV, Ramsay is owner to 31 restaurants throughout the world such as Petrus, Le Pressoir d'Argent, Hell's Kitchen in Caesars Palace, Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips, Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill (two locations) and Restaurant Gordon Ramsay.
Gordon Ramsay opened in Las Vegas location about five years ago and wants to use that success to open a second location. The restaurant design for Baltimore is still being worked out, but may be finalized in the next few weeks. Ramsay hopes to have the restaurant opened by November. The idea is to change the casino's ground-level entrance, sitting to the left of the main doors.
