According to Iowa's Cattlemen's Association Director of Communications Katie Olthoff, this list is Iowa residents' subtle way of letting cattlemen and women how much they appreciate their work and thank you.
There were about 500 Iowa restaurants represented in the 9,200 casted votes - a new contest record.
Iowa Beef Industry Council Director of Marketing Brooke German said it's proof that there are many wonderful burgers throughout the state.
Now, it's time to find the ultimate Burger joint winner. A panel of anonymous judges will visit each of the top 10 restaurants to analyze the burgers based on three things - appearance, taste and doneness (160 degrees). The scores and comments will be tallied. The winner will be announced May 1.
German said everybody should check out the top 10 restaurants. However, German went on to say that these are just some of Iowa's restaurants that serve the amazing beef products that Iowa beef farmers have worked with.
The 2016 title went to Chuckwagon Restaurant in Adair.
