WDW Restaurant To Open Soon Under New Name
A restaurant at Walt Disney World is currently being revamped and will soon open back up... but underneath a new name - Terralina Crafted Italian.
The Terralina restaurant will open in the place of the former Portobello Country Italian Trattoria, which shut down in April to get a multi-million dollar renovation. Terralina is set to open along the shores of the Lake Buena Vista in the fall.
According to Chef Tony Mantuano, the new restaurant is focused on the theme of taking guests "to the Italian shores," and the redesign gets its inspiration from Italy's Lake District. Mantuano is working with Justin Plank, an executive chef, to create the new dining experience.
Terralina, which is located in Disney Springs' Landing neighborhood has a design that's similar to the centerpiece of an Italian home. The primary entrance will have a veranda bar that allows guests to enjoy various cocktails using herbs grown outside the restaurant's doors.
The Terralina menu will include genuine Italian cuisine with the Mantuano's signature behind it like the signature pasta dishes, antipasti platter, mussels and pork chops, etc. There were also be a chance to try fresh vegetable dishes and pizzas that are cooked in the wood-burning oven.
Andy Lansing, CEO and president of Levy Restaurants, said the Disney Springs' food landscape will be amazing, with a plethora of choices that make it the ultimate destination.
Levy Restaurants revealed its Paddlefish in Disney Springs, which is a renovation of the Fulton's Crab House. The company said it would close the Wolfgang Puck Grande Cafe, which opened 20 years ago, next month. It's not known what will go in its place.
