If you’d like a place that has the most mid version of food served across the town here it is. They have ice cream that’s better else where, burgers that are better elsewhere, and barbecue that is definitely better elsewhere. Arnies used to be a Dairy Queen in the 80s, and at this point I’d rather go to the new Dairy Queen.

Excellent variety and quality food for reasonable prices. Very reminiscent of Happy Days. Indoor and outdoor dining.

Not what we expected from BBQ establishment. Unfortunately, the food was average or below. The inside of the restaurant was not clean, flies everywhere. The bathrooms were decent and clean.

Arnies has lost the quality that it once had. Smaller servings and way over priced.I use to come here from 2 plus hours away. Not anymore. I am very upset with the service as well.I will share my experience with everyone . No longer on my list of places to visit.

People calling this good bbq are crazy. My pulled pork sandwich was simply microwaved and served. $12 for the privilege.

Burger was Overcooked, fries were undercooked and ice cream was very bland (Khalua Chip). Good service and fun location.

It's a burger stand, and what a burger stand!!! Just awesome, and the onion rings are fantastic as well! When I am in town, I always go to Arnie's Place in the summer. It's an institution. You can't go wrong. This is not for those on a diet. Plenty of cheese, bacon and good ol' hamburgers. My brother loves the pulled pork sandwiches.

Fun place, too bad they doubled the price of ice cream and cut the portion in half. $4 for a kiddie ice cream which amounts to barely anything inside a tiny cup. My young kids ate it them about 10 seconds. Won't be back unless this is corrected. We're talking about ice cream here folks served by minimum wage kids. Get real.

Best pulled chicken and pork. Also my favorite coleslaw. Fries and rings are good but onion rings give an incredibly small portion, i wouldnt buy them again but I'll definitely come back for the pulled chicken.

This place looks like it's going to be great, but then it isn't. The food is midrate, the portions aren't great, and the prices are high. I know inflation is hammering everyone, but there's an ice cream shop down the road that gives double the portion for the same price.I've tried some of the food and went with the cheaper options cause I'm not going to pay $11 to 13 for a burger with basics on it. If you order a plain burger for $6, it's literally just a burger and bread. Come on. A tomato slice doesn't cost that much. Then the service could be improved. The kids are really sweet and try their best, but they seem to be tossed out there with not enough training. I feel bad for them, because it's obviously a big management issue across the board. This place needs to figure itself out, maybe it's just early in the season, but there are many better options on Loudon road.

Liked the pulled pork and they definitely had some of the best burgers around. The fried mac and cheese is just Kraft mac and cheese. Sweet potato fries are sweet and crunchy. Wasn't a fan of the pulled chicken as it was a little dry and more like chunk chicken. They do have a great BBQ sauce station, so odds are you'll find a sauce for most everyone (sorry, no eastern nc style). The sweet tea was okay for a northern style.Where this place really shined was the ice cream and locals know it. Favorite combo is the Roasted Coconut Almond and Kahlua Chip. Great separate and fantastic together- kind of like a almond joy ice cream spiked with coffee. Best part is it didn't taste like almond extract was used.Kid-friendliness: Kid sized ice cream was basically an adult scoop just single (adult is two scoops). So many ice cream options that it's hard to go wrong with kids. Also budget friendly kid food options.Parking: Plenty of spots though it is gravel so be aware. Still didn't see any potholes and there were a few spots open even with a long line at the window.Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking is available close to windows and there are some picnic tabled around to put a wheelchair on the end if needed. Mostly a to go or tailgate spot for larger groups.
