We hadn't been up here for a while and it was the Sunny Day then. Arnold's has held up the tradition in this location. We ate here on 3 occasions in a long weekend. Trip Advisor only lets you pick one "meal" so I chose breakfast. Two were Breakfast and one the last hour lunch. All 3 presented really nicely. Our lunch was a Monte Christo and Chicken Tender Basket with Fries. Very well done. Service was spotty though. Our two breakfasts were a different story. The A Team was on for breakfast. The food was really nice (we LOVE diner food!) and the staff were keeping the place hopping. It was very busy on our weekend all across Lincoln so staff had to be on their toes and they were. We were really happy that the place was still running strong. The Sunny Day had a special treat with their Banana Bread French Toast. Arnold's features the same. It was not quite as good, but no complaints. The portions were really filling and the price was right. So, one of our favorite places continues under a new name but hasn't missed a beat quality wise.
Outdoor breakfast by the river for my large group. Good food, nice location, friendly staff! Would definitely recommend for an old school diner experience.
I had a good experience and would recommend this place for breakfast. Coffee was good, friendly enough service....I had the eggs Benedict with corned beef hash. My wife like the muffin so much she ordered another to go. Diner is tiny and we patiently waited to sit.
But these guys do. Lot's of sausage bits, and portion large enough that it threatened to flow off the side. Wife was delighted to be able to order a 1/2 Eggs Benedict; the usual portion is larger than she typically wants, but it doesn't really lend itself to a doggie bag. I dislike eggs myself, but she said it was the perfect potion, cooked just right, so there you go. Super-friendly place, apparently run by a HS teacher and staffed by a bunch of polite, friendly helpful students. Small diner, but lots of outdoor seating. No wait at noon on a Friday for booth for two.
One of the best breakfast meals we’ve had! This is definitely a “Diamond in the Rough”. We were seated quickly, the staff was fantastic, and the food was superb. A nostalgic roadside dinner with outside dining along the river. Strong 5/5.
Outstanding food. I had the homemade banana nut French Toast. Best ever. What a treat. My wife had tuna fish sandwich and it was delicious with a great taste. Unfortunately, we found this place on our last day or we would have returned several times.
Our breakfast was fantastic! Try their in-house made banana bread French toast and homemade hollandaise eggs Benedict. Best we’ve had. Enjoy!
We booked the outdoor deck for a special event Sunday Brunch and it was an absolute delight! Besides the family style treats served on the table to get us started as our party was being seated, the Chef prepared made to order breakfasts for every member of our large party and got us all served at about the same time. The food was piping hot and delicious with generous portions. A few people had dietary restrictions and these were fully taken care of with equally delicious options. Arnold's Wayside Diner would be my first choice for a special event, or any day I wanted a great meal!
Couldn't have a better breakfast before hitting the slopes. Top notch omelet, home fries, toast and coffee High fives all around
This has to be my favorite cheesesteak place by far--however I've only tried Jim's, Joe's and Tony Luke's. Dalessandro's does not skimp, will not disappoint, and leave you wishing you ordered more steaks to take home.
