Service and food was great. The entry area is quite worn and uninviting, but the dining room is nice.

Service was very good, the restaurant was nice; the problem…sushi rice had no flavor, none. I’ve had sushi all over the country and Japan, I have even taken a class on making Sushi rolls for fun, I have never experienced this before. If you love sushi you know the rice has a distinct vinegar flavor, it enhances the fish and the reason for sushi over sashimi. I told the waitress because it was really bad rice (maybe someone new tried making it today?) and someone who might be the owner/manager came over and said they tasted the rice and it was fine. So this was not a mistake, this is how they make the rice, like instant rice in the microwave. So if you like sashimi you’ll have no issues, the fish was fine and the same price, so at no time did I ask for anything (they offered to add more vinegar but I was fine having it as sashimi and I was fine paying full price). You’ll see in my picture I just piled the rice in the corner, sorry I didn’t include a picture of the fish, but it was good. They also have Chinese food (New England thing, all Asian food at the same restaurant), didn’t try any Chinese cuisine so it might be excellent…just don’t come here for sushi.

The food is delicious and reasonably priced. All other Chinese restaurants have more than doubled their prices for some reason.

My book club meets at Shanghai Osaka frequently for our discussion. There is a large function room in the back which accommodates our group which can sometimes be more than 25 people. We are separated from the other patrons so we do not disturb them. The service has always been spectacular considering the size of our group. I usually get some kind of Lo Mein. The portion is generous in size & always comes out hot. Since there is only bottled beer, I usually treat myself to a MaiTai-yum-one is enough! The restaurant is tucked away in a corner with other businesses. There is plenty of parking.

A frequent customer talked to us out front and recommended some dishes to try. The dish called “dry fish” isn’t something I would have normally ordered, but I had to heed the recommendation! It turned out it was anything but dry!Everything was delicious and the service was good. A nice fusion of authentic Chinese and Japanese food as well as standard American “Chinese” fare.BTW: Highly recommend the Nashua maki. Super delicious!Seems to be a lot of regulars here. And a few drunks at the bar, but at least they’re jolly!

We come here all the time for the authentic Chinese food. So good! Especially the #62 fish and the Ma po tofu.

Found this hidden gem while headed to another Japanese restaurant. By the flip of a coin, we tried it and could not have been more pleased. The food was rich with flavor, service was excellent, and the atmosphere was the right blend of soft light, flowers and color. Highly recommend!

I absolutely love Shanghai Osaka. It's close to home so I get take out from here a couple times a month. It's always quick to pick up and totally delicious. The owner is super lovely and recognizes me/my order when I come in and takes the time to chat with me - she treats me like a real human being, not just a sale, which is awesome. She also stayed late once to make food for me - I realize when they closed so I put in a super last minute order like a total jerk, and she didn't tell me the kitchen was closed and made it anyway. She's awesome!I can't say enough good things about this place!Ps order the orange chicken, you can thank me later ?

Best Chinese food I've had in New Hampshire. Being from New York, I'm very particular with Chinese, and this is the closest I've had to where I grew up. Also, the traditional dishes are amazing. I order those in particular.

I just ordered sushi through uber eats. The miso soup was good. The sushi wasn't great. The pieces were huge, which made it very difficult to eat. The rice completely fell apart in the soy sauce. The tuna left a red tint on the rice which seemed strange to me. I wish I liked it, but it was disappointing.
