Stopped in a few times for the buffet / lunch - and well - it's not getting better with time - the selection is small, the last time they didn't even have white or brown rice. There are not many GF options. It's come to the point that it's not even worth returning ..

Long Live The.... Dynasty !!! Normally do not write reviews, but wanted to review and comment on The Dynasty. Recently moved to the Lakes Region from South NH, and while driving around the Lakes Region to some Coastal areas to get more acquainted, stumbled across,... The Dynasty. Since a female companion and I are fond of Polynesian / Chines Buffets, we decided to give the place a try one late afternoon, and were very pleased, and more so as stops there continued. This is a nice Local Spot, away from the Touristy type places, and is Comfortable and Cozy. I have now made this place a regular stop, three to four times a month. Have frequented various Chinese / Polynesian Buffet Restaurants throughout NH over the years and found the Dynasty buffet selections to be varied, tasty, good quality, reasonably priced, and the owners and staff very attentive, pleasant and friendly. Although there is also a menu to order from if one is not of mind for a buffet, have always opted for the buffet, and never disappointed with the selection or the quality for the price. For those that indulge in what I like to refer to as " Attitude Adjusters ", there is also a full liquor license, but my favorite ( even if I stop-in alone ) is the Scorpion Bowl for... Two !!  : ), This is a Great Local Spot that I would recommend, and often have. And No, I am not affiliated with the Dynasty what-so-ever, but after now going there many, many times over the past 2 years, felt compelled to write a review and make these few comments. Long Live The Dynasty !! : ) Me: [email protected]

It pains me to write this as we've been getting our takeout from Dynasty for as long as we've lived in Rochester, over 30 years. It's always been decent, not the best, not the worst, but it's what we were used to so we always went back. We get takeout 2-3 times a year. Tonight we ordered our usual, Dynasty low mein and crab rangoons. It was disgusting. They seemed to have changed their low mein to something completely different than what we had six months ago. There was almost no flavor in anything. The taste and even the smell was just gross. Even the little cups of the hot mustard were gross, not hot at all and had a weird flavor and smell like swamp water. The only upside was that we didn't get sick from the little we ate. Most of it just went in the trash. To say we're disappointed is an understatement. Like I said, we only get chinese takeout a few times a year but henceforth we'll be looking for someplace different.

Update to clarify response from owner: The 'hot' in the mustard sauce I'm talking about is the spicy hot, not temperature hot. There was no spiciness to it at all. And it tasted very different and not in good way. As for 'mentioning' it to staff, that only works for eating in the restaurant, not takeout. Like I said, we have gotten takeout from you for 30 years. There's been a few changes in taste/flavor over the years as you've changed recipes or perhaps suppliers of your ingredients but it's always at least tasted good. Not anymore.

As for my 2/5 stars for Service, that's because the two very young ladies working the register were not like the attentive and pleasant people in the past and could barely look up from their phones when checking me out. Sure, it's a sign of the times with young people and their phone addictions, but one has to wonder if this lack of attention to detail has found its way into the kitchen and food prep as well. If you are indeed the owner of this restaurant then you might want to address these issues or continue to lose business of people that have been dedicated customers for 30 years.

We went there for the buffet, all of the food was cold and stale, I’m positive that it was several days old and reheated. Go here only if you want to roll the dice with food poisoning, take heed and be warned!!!

One of the best buffets I've been to. Bigger is not always better. Good selection with everything fresh and hot. Wish I hadn't waited so long to try. Will definitely return.

Short story- $60 for cold food, moldy bread, and spoiled milk.

Long story- I went here with my wife and a friend of her’s for the buffet. The first thing I noticed was a lack of options( no plain rice, only pork fried rice, not a lot of options for proteins either). But that was not even close to the biggest issue. My wife almost bit into a dinner roll before she noticed it had MOLD growing on it. And her friend took a couple bites off the chocolate pudding before she started to notice a “ weird sour flavor”. When i smelled it smelled like SOUR MILK. Oh and everybody’s STONE COLD.

But hey server and manager were polite enough about our complaints and the gave us 10% off the check. BUT even after the 10% it came out to 60 bucks for 3 people for just the buffet. Which is crazy if consider the moldy bread alone
