Dairy Queen Grill & Chill

Right off the highway on the Kittery circle, seasonally opened mostly April to October. Nice outdoor seating area with picnic tables making this a great place to stop for a break on the I-95 drive either out of Maine or into Maine. Order on the app before you arrive because in season it can be very crowded and busy. Typical DQ food, absolutely love the chicken fingers basket with cream gravy and the hotdogs and hamburgers are quality as always.

It's rare that I'd review a fast food or mass-produced ice cream place but I have to say that every time I've been to this DQ I've been shocked at how GOOD the food is! I'm not sure if this is true of all DQ's, but as fast food goes this is so above any other place I've been. I actually take time to enjoy every bite of the burgers, unlike most fast food places where it's just a matter of satiating hunger. Just heads up for all the blizzard lovers. Dairy Queen is reminding ice cream lovers the season is not over yet. For a limited time, the blizzards are 85 cents.!!! FYI a large snickerdoodle blizzard is normally 6.19!!! You have to order through the app. 9/11-9/24. They have a lot of new blizzards coming out for fall like pumpkin pie, snicker doodle cookie dough, and Reese's peanut butter cup pie! Stay tuned.
