they have been in hiatus but i finally got to try this week!

the baboy hopia is heavenly with such an amazing balance of the savory flavor, soft flaky texture, and sweetness. the ube ones are also amazing.

this is one of the best filipino bakeries ive tried and definitely the best on the east coast. reminds me of the good hopias in San Francisco and Canada

everythings really fresh and well packed. thank you for making them💕💕

I purchased a bag of rolls. They looked fine, but smelled and tasted like mold.

⚠️ WARNING: PRODUCTD WITH MOLD SOLD HERE ⚠️ We visited here at about 5:30 on 8/5. I asked the lady how long the pastries last and she instructed that I put them in the fridge when we get home and they last about 4 days. We followed her instructions. The next morning, we took out the pastries out of the fridge and find the pan de ube with multiple mold on them ? I'm also pregnant so the thought of me possibly eating molded bread is very concerning. This is a public health hazard. Beware!

I bought 2 packs of Hopia Ube at Asian Food market in Jersey City, made & baked by Christine’s Bakeshop. I bought them on Thursday, June 6, 2024. It only took 24 hrs and the Hopia Ube have molds!!!! How dare you sell old pastries!!! Please explain why your products can’t last for two days??? What a waste of money.. these are hard earned money that was used to purchase your Hopia Ube!!! Never again I will support your pastries!!

Though the Pandesal is quite expensive it’s ok to the taste and the kicker is your Pandesal size is too small unlike before, we don’t mind if you raise the price but don’t make your product smaller?

Skip this place. A box of ensaymada and bag of ensaymada were both moldy when we opened them. The staff is rude unless you're filipino and they sell you the old stuff. There are much better filipino bakeries out there. 0 STARS. YOU NEED TO DO BETTER.

Came here with my dad and the old ladies had a mean tone when talking to me and were not so nice. Will not be going back.

Within 2 days of receiving the mini ensaymadas from a friend I tried and tasted a weird taste. Turned out to be mold. He has purchased them before and never had this problem. I also threw out the large one for the same reason.

SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!!!As a customer with a significant reason to inform the store of an unfortunate situation where you bought $50 worth of baked goods from their store just to find half of them with mold - you expect a sincere response of an apology - right? When you walked in and reminded the lady behind the counter of previous incident, her whole demeanor became like a Grandmother scolding a child - its inappropriate! Was even boastful that she checks her breads every 3 days for mold in a mad and condescending tone - i tried to appease her by saying nicely “Please dont be mad! Im not even asking you for anything im just reminding you!?” However, would not stop being defensive and could not even get a word in! After i paid for a bag of pandesal and cheese cupcake - she was still mouthing me off and instead of handing me my change placed it in the counter forcefully! I decided to pick my battles and be matured about it - i pushed the items i paid for and said calmly - “thank you i’d rather just leave so that you dont have to yell and be mad at me!” Then headed for the door! She then came out of her station with my items saying i should take it coz i paid for it and used the excuse that she’s Kapampangan and thats how they sound when they talk ( which was 360 degrees different also completely nicer than how it was when she was literally denying they dont sell moldy goods). Please see the rest of the reviews here - all related to mold!To the management - send your staff old or young to anger management or give them a script to follow! Its a shame that you treat your customers to a mental breakdown!
