In a small unassuming place, this jewel of both sushi and other Japanese/fusion cuisine is hidden away. It really could stand up easily next to any of the fanciest places you might come across in

Wabi Sabi does best what most people say they do: sushi. Their restaurant is decorated with plaques for best sushi, best sashimi, and even the best restaurant in Bloomfield.Having tried their Godzilla Roll, I'm inclined to agree. Their entire menu of chef's specials is filled with both familiar and unique rolls. The Godzilla Roll immediately stood out with an assortment of fish, including deep-fried tuna. It was a great mouthful and exceptional taste. The Dirty Roll was also quite good. Lots of elements complimenting each other. I think for some folks, there may be too much going on, and the flavors can be lost, but I appreciated how everything came together. Very yummy.I was drawn to the presentation of their grilled squid, but the taste didn't wow me as much. A simple salt and pepper squid served with soy sauce. Good portion, and not bad, but I think I'll stick with the sushi at Wabi Sabi.I always appreciate an attentive staff, but at some point, it started to feel like I had 3 people at my table and not just the 2 lol...Overall, I enjoyed my visit. One of our servers also shared their insight into the baby yellowtail sushi that we ordered, in comparison to regular yellowtail sushi, which I appreciated. Thanks for the food!

We had a good time here. I thought the wagyu beef sushi with the gold leaf on top was very nice, had a nice smoke/charred flavor to it yet very soft and tender. Soups were nice, service was very good and the atmosphere is very pleasant and very clean. ?Parking: Meter street parking but I think it’s free at dusk.

This is my new favorite Sushi spot. This place is small and popular. I suggest making a reservation. Chef selection sushi for two. Was so good and fresh. We couldn’t finish it all. Shrimp and vegetable tempura was crispy and the batter stayed on. The tempura sweet potato was a nice surprise. The staff is very nice and attentive.

A MUST visit if in the area!We always make a stop for lunch or dinner at this location. Serve is great and food is good too. The Tonkotsu Ramen Soup is homemade and you'll not be disappointed. The DESSERTS is a must! Prices are reasonable.

Amazing and prompt service, food is of the utmost quality and freshness is unmatched. If you want the best bang for your buck whether it is a lunch with a friend or dinner with family, this is the place to go. For the freshness and quality of the food, there is no where in New Jersey or anywhere in the tri-state area where I’ve had the best price to quality comparison. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. If I could give 6 stars, I would gladly do so.
