IM SORRY BUT THE FACT THAT YALL PUT THE PRICE UP IS RIDICULOUS. FOOD IS NOT EVEN GOOD FOR YOU TO DO THAT. Legum taste sour. Rice HARD!!!!!! PUT THE PRICES BACK, you have no rights to put the price up when the customer service is TERRIBLE!

Usually good okay but two days I got food poison for two day I called my friend in area he had told me he ate from there been sick for a couple days him and his girl do not eat from there smh they don’t care

I ordered legumes (with beef) for the first time on DoorDash last Friday. It was delicious! I loved it and left me and my coworkers wanting more. Then on Monday, we decided to go back and order the same thing only to find out when we got back from the restaurant that the legumes was made with pork which I’m allergic to. I called explaining what happened and was told that the first time I bought it wasn’t from them and they don’t make legumes with beef. I told the lady they should have specified what it came with because I never knew legumes was made with pork. None of the staff I talked to really apologized. We couldn’t even eat the food since my coworker doesn’t eat pork either and they wanted to argue with me on the phone and be in denial. I’m deeply disappointed.

I ordered from Magela's for the very first time today, July 12, 2025, through Uber Eats. I ordered Legume w/rice and sos pwa, and also Griot with plantains. The food was delicious! I want to make a suggestion, the legume had a piece of crab in it (I have seafood allergies), perhaps make a note on Uber Eats, hence I should've done my due diligence and called to inquire, but most Haitian restaurants I order from have beef or no meat at all. I attempted to contact the restaurant, but the lady who answered, I guess, was not in the mood to understand my broken-down Creole, so the phone was placed down until I hung up around 6pmish and have been off the line until now, and it's 8:36pm. Overall, the food was delicious! (My friend ate the legume.)

The fish isn’t cook at all with all the epis inside ,i think you guys need to pay intention to what you sell in the name of haitian cuisine.

But keep replying at google review like she want to fight people
How you don’t have any one that understand English at ur store
And you want to justified that by compare ur store to Spanish store
Do better get off ur ass come to the store to see how the service is going

Yesterday I went over there to order food they told me if I can’t order it in creole they wont be able
To take my order,
Yeap this is the first time this happened to me bc I other in that restaurant all the time and they always serve me when I order in English

They never told me I can’t place an order if it’s not in creole, worst experience I was hungry and wanted food

I’ve been ordering from this restaurant for quite some time but as of recently a lot of my orders via DoorDash has been getting cancelled. It’s disheartening because I do enjoy the food here but that’s bad customer service. If you don’t have a certain item listed it should be listed so that customers are not wasting their time ordering something that’s not available.

Terrible management.

It’s too crowded with junk( boxes and stuff), and they recently had a stove shutdown….

Not sure why there are so many low-rated reviews. I’ve been ordering from this place for a while, and the food is usually very good. However, a couple of days ago I ordered the legume with jon jon rice and unfortunately, both my daughter and I ended up with stomach issues and the runs. This was the first time I’ve ever felt unwell from their food.

Normally, everything is fresh and delicious, which is why I’m still giving four stars instead of five. In my opinion, this place doesn’t deserve one-star ratings for the food—maybe for the service if you don’t speak Creole, but honestly, that language barrier is part of what makes the experience authentic.

I do plan to mention what happened to someone there who speaks English, just to give them a heads-up. There usually a young guy there who works the cash register who is always very pleasant and he speaks English.
