Not worth money for the quality of meat. The kalbi was below mediocre. The service was good however.

Went for dinner with a reservation. We ordered different menu item. Staff service is okay and food is good for Korean cuisine.

I want to preface this review by saying, I did not have an opportunity to try any of the Korean BBQ. I have only eaten the dishes on the menu here. I came to Keum Ho Garden at around 8:30pm. It was busy inside but I wouldn't say it was packed. A few people in front of me were waiting to get a table, however, they left after ten minutes. It was also very hot and smoky inside, which made it very difficult to breathe. After placing our orders, we got our side dishes. The side dishes were relatively mediocre. I ordered the spicy cold noodles and the seafood udon. The cold noodles were practically flavorless. Whilst the udon was overly salty, to the point where it became unbearable to eat at certain points in time. I don't think the service was particularly good nor was the food. I also don't think that the quality of food is worth the money spent. I know that many of the other reviewers liked their Korean BBQ, which unfortunately I'm not able to accurately review. I think that there are other Korean restaurants in this area that have better food worth the money spent.

I ordered the sullungtang and it was pretty good. Minus two stars: 1 for being charged over the menu price Another 1 for the lady saying it was just broth and was not able to describe the dish appropriately. There was some beef, scallion, and also noodle as part of the dish.

First time eating Korean BBQ and really liked it. Fresh food, great service. We ordered a variety of food. Beef, chicken, vegetable dishes and it was very good.

Great service, food and BYOB. We also made reservations ahead on a Sunday night. Will come back again.

Authentic Korean dishes with lots of options for vegetarians. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. It gets a bit crowded on Saturday night but I would expect that when food is quite good.

We went to celebrate today and left without even opening up our bottle. The service was HORRENDOUS. The wait staff was very rude and not helpful at all. We have never been to a korean bbq place that has it so only beef can be cooked on the grills. Imagine our surprise when we ordered beef and were brought an already cooked dish. When we asked our waitress about it, she was very rude and told us all beef EXCEPT this one dish. There were two women that came to our table and every time they passed us they gave us dirty looks. When we asked for rice and oil, they abruptly left without even answering us. When we asked again, they snapped at us and practically threw dishes on our table. The food is way overpriced, the wait staff is extremely rude, and they made us feel like we were not even worth a response to a question. If I could give 0 stars, I would. STAY AWAY!!!

I live in New Haven, but grew up in Metuchen when sushi was exotic. I have 3 Korean kids and love everything about the culture, especially the food. Having had Korean in Seoul, NYC and Chicago, I think the main difference is the variety of food rather than taste or quality. In terms of taste and quality, Keum Ho is the equal of restaurants in Korea town. The main difference, likely a result of being limited by local materials, is the range of different foods. Keum Ho offers amazing Korean food served by your Halmonee. It looks just like a native Korean bbq. Everything they serve is authentic. It is not fancy, but if care more about what your food tastes like and less what the room it is served in looks like, you'll be happy here. Just don't tell anyone. I hate waiting in line to get my food. BTW, if you haven't tried the Malaysian restaurant across the street, you are missing out on a great cuisine. Tell them you want real Malaysian food or they'll serve you American Thai (which is good, but not the point).

So I've never taken the time to write a review before... We ordered what's supposed to be "premium pork jowl". Well, take a look at the photo yourself and you'll see that what's served was pretty much all fat and that small artery-clogging plate alone was $30. When brought to the host's attention, I asked if she could give us a leaner cut and she said that's how pork jowl is. Well, there's no point in arguing... I suppose I've had a much leaner cut of pork jowl in my experience and so I felt robbed. This place is highly overpriced and just not worth it. Save yourself the money.

Lunch is good pick of tasting different Korean dishes with lower prices. Grilled yellow Crocker comes with soup and rice; pork neck potato soup; stone pot of vegetables rice; beef tripe soup and any meat (pork and beef) BBQ are our family favorites!

Delicious Stone bowl Bibimbap (Get the Jaeyuk if you like spicy pork). Friendly staff, and high quality Banchan (side dishes). I’m glad the nearby Seafood restaurant told me they were closing early, or I wouldn’t have discovered this gem!

A very tasty meal. The small appetizers in the beginning are all delicious, our salmon teriyaki main was really good, and the rice stone bowl was fresh and delicious.
