I was rushed out of this establishment. I was a paying customer and used the restroom and got a bang on The door from the owner. I was in there tops 2 minutes. She is rude like I was bothering her. Outsiders are not welcome. I won’t be going back.

LOVE Libby's! We moved to Pennsylvania from NY 5 years ago. I found Libby’s on our way home to Pa. The warm welcome we receive from Libby & her employees is so inviting & so are the chocolates. The chocolates are made on premises and they are so delicious. Libby also sells the old-fashioned candy that people in the 70s and 80s used to enjoy & still do! You can’t leave Libby’s without having a hot chocolate, so delicious! We drive 40 minutes to treat ourselves to Libby’s delicious chocolates & other goodies. You won’t be disappointed!!

Four of us stopped in here a week ago because we needed something cold to drink. We really enjoyed the freshly brewed, unsweetened iced tea and the nitro coffee. Afterwords we treated ourselves to some dark chocolate raisin clusters and some peanut butter cups. I love chocolate and their chocolate is up there with the best. You’ll be happy to stop in while you’re in Frenchtown!

Went in because I saw they had Gelato on their front sign and was intrigued. Apparently imported from Italy. There was a few flavors: vanilla, chocolate, mint chocolate, strawberry, mango sorbet, espresso, and one other I can't remember.Tried the vanilla and strawberry. Both excellent. The vanilla had a ton of vanilla beans in it which is awesome. The strawberry had intense flavor. Very fruity.Ended up ordering a large in the mint chocolate chip which was also amazing. Lots of fresh mint flavor and the chips were plentiful. Like a true Gelato the ice cream is silky and creamy.Shop is really clean and has cute seating area in their back patio. Staff is friendly. Will be back.

I rarely give 5 stars, but this place is beyond 5 stars. Fantastic chocolate, best around. We were walking around the town and stepped in this small little place for some coffee, what we discovered was amazing homemade/custom made chocolate from NJ and Vermont. Their dirty hot chocolate is also amazing, overall fantastic shop with great owner.
I am not sure what kind of vibes this town is radiating, but they are not good. No one is friendly. Stopped in this seemingly cute candy store to buy a treat, ask about local dining and inquire as to restrooms. A guy in an odd joker like mask treated us as though we were from another planet. Talked to us in a condescending manner. He told us restaurants were mostly closed(by 5?) and directed us to a gas station. Didn't buy anything.

Found this place randomly while walking around town and the dozen different chocolates we tried were incredible. I would take the hour and 15 minute drive just to come back to this candy shop.

What an absolute delight of a cafe/gelato experience. We visited on Saturday July 16th when Frenchtown was celebrating Bastille Day. Delightful ice cream and gorgeous espressos. Well laid out store with candy, seating out back and at the front and also inside - out of the heat. Great service and so much fun to see them dressed up.
