I am sad to write this as someone who has been coming since I was a child, but the birthday cake I got from here was really just not good, the chocolate buttercream tasted like grocery store vanilla with maybe a sprinkle of chocolate to make it brown, the cake was dry, and the “cannoli” filling just tasted like plain ricotta cheese. It was edible but it was enough off for everyone to notice. That being said we visit here often, they have good baked goods and have had their Oreo birthday cake which was good. But for a 1/2 sheet cake that costs as much we expected better.

Been coming here for 20+ years and had an unusual experience this weekend. First, don't order the banana peanut butter coffee thing - $8 went right into the trash, unfortunately. Also at 9am, all the fresh coffee containers were empty without it being very crowded. Hope to return to the regular 5 stars!

The crumb cake is the best! The bakery has a wide variety of scrumptious treats. I was very disappointed, however, with the Brown Derby cake. It used to have real whipped cream, strawberries, bananas and, of course, chocolate cake. Real whipped cream has been replaced by awful stiff white stuff and strawberry jelly has been added. It was very disappointing. Brown Derbies are hard to find, but I won't be buying it from Colonial anymore.

Donuts and crumb cake are out of this world. Pack your patience if you wait in line, it's worth the wait. Or call the night before pay for your order go to the takeout window and you're done.

Great they have amazing food like cookies, bagels,cupcakes, muffins etc. Would recommend
