Not sure what is better on a Sunday late morning/early afternoon:is it the mimosas, poured expertly by Tanner, the charming and adorable bartender? Or is it my perfectly prepared homefries and gluten free avocado toast? This is our Sunday “go to” each week and I hope nothing changes! We love it here!Dietary restrictions: gluten free

DELISH breakfast! Best steak and eggs I’ve ever had! The bernaise sauce, out of this work- the potato pancake- so good!! Will def go back and highly recommend. Oh, and the bartender- very cool, and attentive.

Nice place, good location, good music, food is okay, but the service is slow and horrible. A few good servers, but the rest.....have they ever worked in a restaurant before? At the very least they need a manager who can see the obvious problems and do something about them!

Terrific food (best fish tacos I ever ate) Salmon dish was absolutely delicious & short ribs were too. Wide variety of selections & terrific presentations. Will definitely go back. Oh, very accommodating & attentive waitress too.Kid-friendliness: Menu choices to accommodate anyone.

3 of us had dinner. So all of us had the same experience. We tried to tater tots and all came out soggy. My Brisket Burger was ordered medium and came out under cooked. Some of the toppings that come with the food , avocado did not come out so be we had to ask for two toppings to be brought out. The waitress was fantastic!! Hate leaving a not so good review but that's honest feedback. $100.00 bill no dessert. No drinks other than two ice teas. Will come back but reserved.

Asked the hostess if we could sit at a table for drinks, she shrugged her shoulders. Waited at the bar for a while to get the attention of the bartender. Sat at a table for almost 2 hours, not once did a server approach us to ask if we wanted to order food or drinks. Kept having to go to the bar to get drinks and wait as once again, the bartender paid no attention to anyone except the people he knew. The inside is drab and the entire staff lacks personality. Only stayed that long because we were waiting for a friend. Would not recommend this place at all.

Been here before and the food was pretty solid - buttermilk fried chicken sandy is super tasty but I had to leave this review following a more recent visits The food was meh and the service even more meh. The shrimp BLT was really dry and lacking in flavor. One of the items we ordered was not what the server described. So asked to order something different. I get and appreciate staff shortages but I draw the line at rudeness. When we say thanks and have a good night we don't expect to hear a grunt from the hostess in return. Find better greeters. Best thing on the table was the tater tots.

We had tickets to see "Tommy" (It was horrible,we left at intermission) at the Algonquin ,so we decided to have dinner before the show. We wanted a restaurant with a liquor license so we wouldn't have to overpay for food, pay corking fees, pay an extra fee to use a credit card etc..at those BYOB places, like the horrible Blend down the street. You save nothing and it's just a $100 BM the next morning. We arrived at Max's during happy hour, so my Blue Moon was priced right. The tin can nachos were litterally dumped out of a can onto the plate. Just the stupidest thing. Yes, stupidest is a real word. It made the chips soggy. The guac was very good. There should have been more of it. I was going to get chicken on the nachos but the chicken was cubed, not shredded, which means the chicken tumbles off the chip. I hate that. My wife's turkey club on rye was outstanding. The homemade chips were eh. homemade chips always are. Just put some ruffles on the plate. My $18.50 filet mignon cheesesteak was terrible and small. This is how it's described on the menu. "grilled peppers and onions with cheese sauce" .Nowhere does it say there's barbecue/steak sauce mixed in. Was that Peter Lugar's sauce? The sauce overpowered any cheese, peppers or onions. Couldn't finish it. Fries were OK. This place has a VERY VERY limited menu. No excuse for not getting all of it right. The service was just ok. She never gave us water refills. One other thing. It was so damn hot in there. Thermostat said 77 degrees.
