We try and stop here every time I'm down the shore. Best pies I've had in New Jersey. Favorites are the chocolate cream, and the coconut cream pies. The chocolate covered bananas are my sons favorite.
The breakfast empanadas are amazing! Great scones too!
Very quaint and friendly
If you're looking for excellent pies and scones, you've come to the right place. I just ordered pumpkin, pecan and key lime pies for Thanksgiving. They are All delicious and they will sell out. Best Key Lime pie I've had outside of Florida. Delicious crust and just the right amount of tartness. The pecan is scrumptious and is chocked full of nuts, as you'd expect. The scones come in a variety of flavors. The kids love chocolate chip, but I prefer the classic blueberry. Bucolic charm, amiable owner and delicious pastries in Squan. A must visit!
Sitting here now enjoying the artichoke, asparagus and goat cheese quiche. The scones are amazing as well. Great place for a fresh bite to eat.
The best pie I've ever eaten. Cute little shop in downtown Manasquan.
Easily best pie spot in the area. Love the chocolate cream and the key lime.
I love this place! The cream pies are made with real cream and the chocolate is top rate. The crust is flaky and flavorful. The apple pie is one of our favorites. It's not too sweet, the apples are tender and delicious. My family comes to Manasquan once a year and Sunburst Pie Co is a must for us. Last year they were closed during our visit. This year after our 3-hr drive we went directly to Sunburst and arrived 2 minutes after closing. The wonderful staff let me come in and I bought 2 delicious pies, apple crumb and chocolate coconut cream. We savored every bite. These are the best pies in a 200 mile radius!
So my boss recommended this place to me one day and mentioned that if they had the empanadas to get one. I am so happy I did! This is the pork roll, egg and cheese and it is amazing! The dough is close to a pie crust in that it is super flakey, buttery and light. Then the filling! Whatever they use to season the eggs is amazing! Get it warmed up and enjoy it with an ice tea and you are good to go!
Food was delicious and customer services was outstanding!! The gentleman behind the counter was beyond helpful and nice. 10 out of 10 would come here again!
If it's early in the day, pick up a couple empanadas as they're so good they invariably sell out. I'm a fan of the beef empanada with raisins and olives, a classic South American take, but they are all good. Pies are delish. Peach is a personal favorite and the cream pies are wickedly good. Lard crust so great flakiness, but I can't indulge often with a heart healthy diet. Definitely the place to grab a special dessert or stop for a snack and specialty beverage. Charming inside (though no indoor tables as yet with covid) and tables outdoors as well.
Pies and more pies. Savory and fruit . The chicken pot pies is special. The peas, pearl onions ,carrots white meat chicken are cooked perfectly . Veg is firm and fresh not canned. Fruit pies are exceptional partly because of the crust. Yes their hours are a little restrictive because they sell out of pies. This is a one man show. If you have an urge for pie, get there before noon or you risk being shut out. The day I went, they had 1 apple, 1 apple crum, 1 pecan, 1 mini short rib and cheese whipped potato (I bought it, yum) and 1 lemon meringue full size. They will have dozens of pies at 10:00. Enough said.
Awesome scones, empanadas, soups and pies.
Tasty treats ... we always enjoy grabbing a snack here..it’s well worth stopping by for a dessert or two
Today I had the asparagus and artichoke quiche. Extremely creamy and fluffy. The crust was amazing. The scones are also to die for. Stop by for amazing savory pies. A++
