My go-to coffee shop in Montclair. Their coffee is excellent. I like their shop, is nice and cozy. Tables a large enough to stay and use lap tops. Outside seating is nice if it is nice out. You can do a lot of people watching.

I had a delicious chai latte; I think it was something off the specials board, so it might not always be available. All non-dairy milks are offered here! WIN! My family members with me during this visit also had yummy drinks. You can expect strong coffee, flavorful chai, and satisfying sweets to go with it each time you visit. What are you waiting for? Go!

As a Montclair institution, I really wanted to love, support and enjoy Java Love. Unfortunately for me, their service it is the worst in town. I went in last Saturday for a latte, which was priced at the modest price of $8. After being handed my room-temperature coffee, I wished the barista a nice day, and he gave the look of an unamused house cat. I do believe that for 8 bucks, I should have a warmer cup of coffee and a friendlier service.

I generally love Java Love. They people are nice, and it's a cozy place to hang out. I don't drink coffee, but the tea is fine.However... The internet is questionable at best. It will work maybe 80% of the time, but if you're unlucky enough to hit that 20% then it doesn't work at all or is so flakey that you need your own hot spot. I've commiserated with some of my fellow "wfh" folks at the next table and they feel the same. Hey Java Love management: Please get this fixed! None of us wants to see us move across the street to Starbucks, but at least there internet is reliable.UPDATE: I haven't been here for a while but the internet now seems to be *super* fast: 430 Mbps download speed! Bumping to five stars ?

Good medium roast coffee. On the stronger side for a medium, but tasty and not bitter. Good service, fast, polite and respectful.

Coffees are good, ambiance is good, but WiFi is very bad. It was the first time in whole of my life that I had this bad WiFi experience. Also the staff is very rude . They are ruining company”s reputation.

Excellent go-to cafe. Not highbrow and that's a great thing. Reminiscent of cafe's before they became a fad.Staff changes over quite a bit, but management always seems to find quality replacements.

Okay spot, line moved kinda quick. Coffee was solid but i feel they focus more on decorations for the place than brewing the coffee and focusing on orders. Theres alot of cafes around

Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon for a coffee and a pastry. Staff was very friendly and atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Enjoyed their selection of self serve creamers and opted for oat milk. Coffee was great and almond croissant was really good. It was nice to sit by the window and take in the sights of church street. Will definitely be back often. Overall would highly recommend. 4.6/5 -BJ

I love their coffee at the other location...but the service at this location is less than desirable. From not even acknowledging when I say hello to just sliding a random cup over to me, which I ask if it is mine and get grunted at. I felt like I was inconveniencing them only to be served a lukewarm Americano with super hot attitude.

Came here to do some work and since it was the afternoon I figured I'd get a chai latte. Usually this is a pretty safe bet at coffee shops these days but this one was not good. I'm usually not that picky with my beverages but this one was watery and bitter. It didn't help that the wifi didn't work and the tables were wobbly. Honestly with the prices you're better off going to the Starbucks across the street - you'll pay the same and get a consistent drink.
