I’m hesitant to even write a review because I consider this place a true hidden gem! With so many options in the area I find myself forgetting about Turtle & Wolf until after my recent visit it sprang to the top of my list!I went for a birthday celebration and my friends and I shared a bunch of dishes. Everything was so well executed, the portions were generous and we just had such a lovely evening. Cannot pass on this adorable BYOB.

This place has a cute atmosphere with the little dinosaurs around the restaurant. We sat at the counter next to the kitchen. Our server was the nicest and most attentive server I had in a while. Gave us the rundown of the menu. We wanted to try their fried chicken, which wasn't on the menu. You have to ask them about it. That meal came with a salad, fried chicken and the sides, and a dessert to share. The potato wedges were delicious. The fried chicken was ok. The biscuits tasted like the Pillsbury ones, not hating on them, though. For dessert, we had the donuts, which were so yummy! Overall, the food was alright. The atmosphere was definitely my favorite part!

Came here with a group of 6 for dinner on a Friday night and had such a great time. They're BYOB and there's a wine store across the street. Everything we ordered was delicious and the service was great. Appetizers: beef tartare, chicken liver mousse, and oysters. Everything was very shareable portions and my favorite was the chicken liver mousse (even people in our party who tried it for the first time enjoyed it). Entrees: duck confit pot pie (as delicious as it sounds), scallops (came with 5 in a light lemon sauce), chicken and dumplings (more chicken than dumplings), octopus + chorizo (delicious), pork shoulder pappardelle (tasty handmade pasta) and kielbasa (was the pork special of the day). Desserts: chocolate peanut butter tart (my boyfriend loved), olive oil cake (very moist) and brioche doughnuts (my favorite). The menu is a bit pricey but the quality is worth it. Can't wait to come back here again to try more! They have a family style whole roasted pig (serves 6-7) and fried chicken that I'd love to try.

We came in to Turtle and the Wolf for a birthday dinner this week. The restaurant even had printed a personalized happy birthday menu :) Everything was 10 out of 10. We enjoyed the focassia, burrata, pork pappardelle and steak frites. We were serviced by Larry and had incredible service. He was quick, friendly and knowledgeable. Added bonus that the spot is BYOB. We will be back again and again!

Food, service & ambiance were all top notch. I dined with a group of 4 and we shared two appetizers (focaccia and arancini), each had our own pasta entrees, and shared two desserts (brioche donuts and olive oil cake). Good portions and everything tasted great. I had the sweet potato agnolotti and loved each bite. BYOB is always a plus. It was a memorable dinner, and I'll definitely be back!

Great date night spot, parking is a little tough but well worth it for the food. Staff is very nice and not very crowding. The eatery is small and is best with a reservation. The chicken is amazing.

One of our favorite restaurants in Montclair , but last night was spectacular ! We celebrated Christmas with our grown children , spouses and granddaughter . We pre-ordered the suckling pig for 7 people but with all the fantastic and abundant sides and desserts , it can feed 9 easily . We brought food home and it was still delicious . Everyone was delighted with ALL the food and service . We highly recommend this meal for special occasions .Vegetarian options: We had a vegetarian who enjoyed all the sides and could order off menu if needed .
