I don't normally review restaurants but this restaurant was wonderful. Perfect service, amazing food and desserts, real family owned feel. BYOB which I prefer. No Problem finding parking on a Friday night.
The Bronzini Francese, Flounder Oreganato, and Pink Sauce with Sausage and mushrooms were excellent. The male host was very pleasant. Service was excellent. We just had my daughter's bridal shower there family style and everything was impeccable. Jose was an excellent server and organizer.
Portofinos is a local favorite of ours. Everything we've had is dependably delicipus. The long-stem artichoke appetizer is a real treat.
We had not been to Portofino in many years and we had a wonderful evening. The food was delicious and served in very large portions -- most people definitely take home leftovers -- Sean, our server, was terrific, and we brought a bottle of incredible wine (it's BYO) so we had a super evening. The artichoke and olive appetizer was delicious and could have served three easily. My husband loved his fried calamari -- very tender and tasty, not oily and heavy -- and even he added leftovers to my artichoke appetizer to take home. My eggplant parmesan and pasta were superb. We were stuffed and didn't even consider dessert but we will be back.... soon! I would highly recommend reservations because every table was taken on a Saturday night. I'm happy for this long standing restaurant to be doing so well!
The food was great and our server was friendly. My only complaint with this visit is that the service was a bit slow. We will still go back though and definitely recommend the place!
Beet salad appy was perfect. Penne with pesto and fried mooz was off the CHART! Thank you Lisa.....
Always a pleasure to dine at this establishment. The food is fresh, hot and delicious. We'll definitely be back.
If you're looking for authentic Italian cuisine in Morristown, look no further than Portofino's. From the moment you walk through the doors, you're greeted with the warm, inviting atmosphere that instantly transports you to a charming trattoria in the heart of Italy. The ambiance is cozy yet elegant, making it perfect for a romantic dinner, a family gathering, or a night out with friends. Now let's talk about the food — absolutely phenomenal! Every dish bursts with flavor and clearly reflects the passion and tradition behind true Italian cooking. The pasta is fresh, the sauces are rich and perfectly seasoned, and the seafood is cooked to perfection. Their signature dishes are beyond delicious, and even the simple classics like spaghetti bolognese or chicken parmigiana taste elevated and made with love. The service is just as impeccable — warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. You feel like family from the moment you sit down to the last bite of dessert. Portofino's isn't just a restaurant, it's an experience. One that you'll want to return to again and again. Highly recommend to anyone craving an authentic Italian meal that feeds both your stomach and your soul!
Service was a little slow but everyone is so friendly we didn't mind. Food was phenomenal and we had plenty of leftovers to bring home.
Portofino's is consistently a great restaurant! Great food, service, & atmosphere. I highly recommend it.

The food and service were excellent! We enjoyed the burrata special, Bronzino Milanese, Pasta Bolognese, Beet salad and Seafood Risotto. We will definitely be back - make sure you have a reservation.
Appetizers were better than the main courses. Chicken parm was tender but hardly any cheese. Another restaurant that is charging a fee for credit card. That is really annoying. Where would these restaurants be if patrons didn't have credit cards?
First time visiting the restaurant and on Easter to boot. The place was packed but moving....as would be expected on a Holiday. We selected the restaurant because of previous reviews and loved that they offered their full menu and not an abbreviated one the holiday. Main dinners were flavorful and abundant. Appetizers did not disappoint. Desserts were very good too. We will surely be back to try on a non-holiday. Only downside was service/kitchen was a bit slow but again, expected on a holiday with a full menu offering. Waitstaff still came around multiple times just to let us know the timing of our meals and if we needed anything in the meantime. Thank you for a nice experience!!!!
One of the best meals in a long time. Meatballs were outstanding. Chicken Parm ...fantastic. Pasta with sautéed chicken and sun-dried tomatoes...amazing. Even the Apple crumb cheesecake was exceptional. Service was perfect. Will definitely be back!!
Worst Chicken Marsala I have ever had!! Chicken was boiled and not sauteed, swimming in a gelatious sauce with no flavor. I wouldnt be surprised if this sauce was from a can or jar. I hope I never have to come back here. Service was fine but slow for the lack of crowd. Prices for this level of food are too high.
