This place is a legend in this neighborhood. I see students going in all through the weekend. When games are on the place is packed. Being next to the train station access is very easy. Since it’s a complete no-no to drink and drive access to cars hailing services like Uber and Waymo is excellent at this location. The sign is very catchy, perhaps is the name of the owner or his friend perhaps.

Top spot for large groups of Rutger Football fans to catch the games outside of the stadium and is perfect for beer lovers. As a beer lover, I'm gonna have Redd's on the list, and for spots in New Brunswick, they're certainly in the top 5 locations to visit for their beers. From classic lagers to hoppy IPAs, they have something for everyone. Plus you'll find them fairly cheap here and if you're looking for making new friends, there's typically gonna be a group of RU students hanging out. One thing to note is that Redd's New Brunswick hosts a lot of college-age parties on Friday and Saturday nights, typically starting around 9 pm with door security, the place gets packed with students, various drinks, and DJ music pumping out onto the street. If you're looking for a more relaxed atmosphere, I would suggest coming on a weeknight or during the day on weekends.As for the food, I found that the options were lighter than in their other locations. But if you're a Rutgers Football fan or alumni, you already know they do well on game days! The energy in the bar gets electric as fans cheer on the Scarlet Knights and they have plenty of TVs to watch from anywhere in the different rooms with a frat/sorority or two that show up as well.Overall, it's a great spot to grab some beers and catch up with friends, the staff's energy in the bar is contagious, and you'll enjoy a fun, scarlet red infused lifestyle only found in New Brunswick.

I went to Redd's for the first time this past weekend after hearing so many positive reviews so had high expectations! The venue is incredibly spacious and was decorated for Halloween so it kept the ambiance of the night going. We went pretty early, around 9/10pm so there weren't too many people there and it was easy to get in. However, I do wish it was more lively! I know it was just the time of day though and am looking forward to visiting again.

My friends and I went here last the other night. Got right in, no line and there was a pretty good amount of people inside. the place is pretty big so there's room to walk around and you're not squished in. Plenty of spots to get drinks and stuff. Tvs, dance floor area, and tables to sit by. Bouncers were friendly, clean bathrooms and good music. Definitely would come back here!

This place threw out me and my non binary friend for being in the bathroom. A bouncer looked over the stall at me going to the bathroom and tried to rip my friend through the stall out by his shoulder and told him to get his " tiny a** out." He dragged him out through the hallway. When I came out of the bathroom myself I was visibly upset and crying and yelled at the bouncer for touching me as well and throwing me into a stall door. He immediately starting to grab me my under my for arms so hard that I now have visible bruises under my arms. I was dragged across the dance floor while I was slipping on something on the floor. The bouncers at the door were being extremely rude to me while my friends got the owner to talk to me. I went outside with the bouncer and the owner, both of which were not understand and did not help to resolve the situation . The owner had the graciousness to tell my friends we weren't banned, which does not matter since I will never give a singular penny to this establishment that thinks physically assault is a good solution to issues. I was never asked to leave, I was simply grabbed and dragged out like a rag doll, and so was my friend. Everyone in the situation was sober as well. Since going to the bathroom is such a problem, I guess I'll just take a piss on this establishment

Went here October 21st around 11:45pm, when I tried to order a drink the 3 bartenders served everyone around my friend and I and they completely ignored us. They served people drinks that came after and us and we waited about 25 min until they gave us our drinks and on top of that they didn’t even fill our cups. It was about 70% full. Terrible slow service.
This place is shady! I ordered casamigos shots for a group of people. They gave us house vodka in chilled casamigos bottle, everyone immediately knew what was up. Shoutout to one of the employees for being honest…

been meaning to leave this post for sometime. stopped by one night after the city had some drinks with my girl waiting on our ride,both of our phones died no one had a charger we decided to call an uber thru the bouncer,which he did for us. once uber arrived i offered him the fare as listed on the app he declined and asked us to come back and and visit sometime again when we had more time to hang. says the place gets packed on weekends and some weekdays (which i cant recall) either way we are grateful for his generosity and want to just say thank you very much Mr “ Man of many faces”, youre awesome. We have been back to find you and keep on missing you but i want to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts that was a very kind and generous gesture. this place is lucky to have you working their door. well be back until we can meet you to have a drink or at least get u to accept our appreciation of your kind gesture. good job REDD’s that guy is AWESOME

I went to this spot opening weekend and it was fantastic years ago. I went in on a Thursday night, got skunky beer, a reduced menu, and my check altered after I signed it to include a 50% tip. Do not go here. They did not recover from COVID.
