Walk into Basque country, enjoy wonderful food experiences and atmosphere. A special place- a gem hidden in the Ironbound, where you are transported into a culinary adventure to be shared with family and friends. A formal restaurant and lively soccer bar, enjoy both and La Liga matches surrounded by true aficionados who regular there. After your first visit, there remains a constant call to return and repeat the same, again and again and again..... Enjoy

We are regulars at this longstanding Iberian favorite. Somehow it effortlessly combines what seems daunting to most restaurants: an elegant ambiance of white tablecloth settings, formally attired waitstaff and festive but calm vibe — with excellent food at a great value. We had a few minutes to wait for the time of our reservation so sat at a table in the bar, joining locals who were reconnecting while eyeing the eternal soccer game on TV. We ordered a bottle of red wine for $40 for four, which we then brought to our table. There are many delicious seafood and land options, all preceded by a generous bowl of homemade soup. The owner, a lovely woman, presides over the long room. There is even a parking lot next to the restaurant to ease any Newark jitters from suburban sojourners.Parking: It’s not a huge lot but we’ve been lucky most times. Street parking is not hard if needed.

This is my favorite restaurant in Newark New Jersey. I hadn’t been here in a while and just went back and the food was just as yummy as I remember. I will definitely be coming back more often.

First time in the place. An excellent and unforgettable experience. The food is tasty, the atmosphere is formal and very welcoming. And first class Service. I was surprised by the special treatment that the owner of the place has with all her clients. That makes a big difference!!? If I lived nearby I would visit the restaurant every week.❤️

A genuine taste of Iberia, in this case, Basque country. Wonderful food, Reasonably priced wine list, professional wait staff, free off street parking. Everyone in the dining room clearly was having a good time.

12/5 recommend this place! Incredibly polite and attentive staff, refilling drinks for you, wrapping your left overs for you, and making sure the food is perfect. Great seafood selection. Delicious homemade bread. Variety of alcoholic beverages to choose from (I enjoyed some Sangria). Best dinner experience in our trip to New York. Will be coming back again when in the area!Parking: Theres a free lot behind the building but limited spots. Street parking is available.

We ordered paella marinera and it was dry with no flavor. We expected a better quality dish. Very disappointed ! I don't like the fact that the waiters were constantly going up and down close to the tables and continuously looking at the guests. We felt that they were invading our privacy a little too much. I would not go back.
