I have lived in Pitman for a few years now and I do love supporting local businesses and will continue to do so (Mama Marie's included. HOWEVER, I have to give an honest review of my recent experience.
My wife and I ordered 2 sandwiches online recently and mine was very burnt (see photo). I deducted 2 stars, one for burning the bread and the other for lacking the decency to replace the burnt piece. I did not call or attempt to get a new sandwich so I will not make up any kind of story. I assume they would have made it right. Even though I did not let them know about this immediately, the burn is significant/obvious enough to be replaced and not served to a customer. The lack of care is what motivated me to write this.
I will continue to eat here but please, a bit more effort would be appreciated.

This place serves gluten free bread so it is great to have a sub on GF bread. The inside is old and not well kept up. I would not eat in there. The sandwiches are big and good and a decent price.

Stopped by for the first time to grab a quick sandwich for lunch and was really blown away! Chicken salad sandwich was excellent! I was with a group of about 10 people and we all were saying that everything we got was delicious. I will definitely be back soon.

Last week bought 2 hoagies on gluten-free rolls.Taste just like the package rolls-nasty! Here I was hoping it would be good.They are so nice In there.Very disappointed. DID NOT KNOW,Heard so much about the rolls,bought 2.(by themselves)They were frozen,thin sticks.I like the retro vibe in there.I guess,I will have to make my own gluten-free rolls

We passed by this many times in Pitman, always wanting to try it to support a local small business. Well, the first time my wife went in and got subs for the family, she was welcomed by very friendly staff who offered her extra sub rolls (probably due to an overabundance of rolls). This last time we went in, we placed an order for a sub tray; again, the staff was very friendly. They are not only friendly, but the food from this place is a home run. This is the local sub shop you don't want to pass.

Outstanding food. I went here once a couple years ago (2022 or 2023) and had a Sinatra panini to go. Service was great, and the food was something I thought about for years to come. Roasted red peppers, fresh mozz, sun dried tomatoes, fried eggplant, garlic aioli, foccacia... It was hands down one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Today, I came back with the same friend and I ordered the same thing. We ate in this time. The seating area was clean and no one else was there at 2pm on a Thursday. The sun was shining in onto the most heavenly sandwich I'd ever seen, made fresh right in front of me. The foccacia was crispy and the sun dried tomatoes tasted homemade. Everything was so flavorful. My friend ordered a Diablo hoagie and that thing was MASSIVE. Like, three servings massive, basically impossible to close. When you eat here, you get food on your face and you just keep going. It's that good. Service is friendly and gave me a suggestion for what to order next time. Also grabbed a black cherry soda from the fridge. Oh, and the sandwich was $10 and well worth it. I will try to make a point to stop by more frequently. Pitman has some good eats.

Words cannot express how AMAZING this place is!!! Not only is their food SPECTACULAR but their customer service is OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! It is our go to place for sandwiches for every occasion and the fact that they have the best gluten free items is wonderful!! They forgot to give us a part of our order and not only did they deliver it to us (about 20 minutes away) they then delivered gluten free cream puffs to us the following week!!! You cannot go wrong with giving this place your business!! Thank you Mama Marie’s!!!
