First time visiting this restaurant. Waited longer than expected for our server to reach our table. Overall staff were friendly & welcoming. Love the music and art. Pleanty of parking in the side lot. Restaurants and restrooms were clean+ Nice variety on the menu. You will find something for everyone. They have delicious tacos, burritos, quesadilla & bowls. The chicken, steak, chorizo and shredded beef are packed with flavor and very juicy. Wear your napkin and make sure you eat over your plate. Lol Kids menu is perfect. Chips and salsa seasoned just right. Drinks were good just a little on the small side for the price. I suggest to add rice and beans to your meal. This way you can add to you tacos. You have to have the Sweet bananas. They were the best I have had in a while. Too full for dessert on this visit. I can't wait to go back to try some more of this delicious food. Hopefully some dessert! Fried oreos and ice cream sound amazing or maybe the flan.

This place has such a special place in my heart. It’s where I met my partner and a great place to grab food with friends and enjoy amazing drinks and cuisine. Our server Joe (had him twice) was amazing. He is attentive, honest, charismatic, and knowledgeable about the cuisine and vegan/vegetarian options. He will warn you about the spicy margarita (it is really spicy) but spice lovers will LOVE the drink. Overall always an amazing experience, great vibes, amazing decor, delicious food, great drinks, and wonderful service! Than you Joe!!!!

I had the plant based meatball bowl this time and my sis had the chicken and shrimp. Simply Delicious ?. This is our 6th or 7th visit and we've enjoyed every meal and experience. Our typical go-to for a nachos and churros date night. We were surprised at the nachos the last time we were there -- there was little chicken in the chicken nachos and they were topped with a disgusting, cold nacho cheese that seemed like it was scooped right off the floor of a busy movie theatre. When we mentioned our disappointment, we were told "yeah, our regular chef is busy opening a new restaurant." If the chef is going to be going somewhere else...we will be too.

Come here only for the Birria tacos. Excellent consume, and the rice and beans on the side are a great touch. The tacos are wonderfully crispy, and the beef is tender. Skip the Guacamole, underseasoned and mediocre. Skip the fish tacos as well, nothing to write home about and quite dry. The churros are great though - do go for them! It's unsurprisingly that the Birria tacos are what pretty much everyone orders. I'd eat in if you can, they are pricey so you really want to experience them fresh. For a less expensive option that is 80% as good, try Ebenezer between Cranford and Elizabeth.

This place is well worth the wait! Thee two times I have visited, we waited over 30mins to be seated. However, once you are inside this place is the party you never knew you needed! The specialty drinks and frozen alcoholic beverages are a must have! We also tried the guava flavored shots and we were pleasantly surprised. They have a great selection of tapas. I would highly recommend the fried cheese, chicken chicharron bites, or the chips with guacamole and salsa. Their tacos come in sets of 3 and are pretty filling (double corn tortilla). The highlight of our visit both times was, by far, the DJ and the ambiance/vibe. Gather up your favorite people and plan a trip to Johnny Tequila's. Trust me, it won't be your last!

I've come here enough times to where some of the staff already knows me and my order! Haha. My typical order is Carne Asada quesadilla, and for an appetizer- guac, salsa and chips. I love the seasoning they add to the chips, sometimes it can be inconsistent (not the flavor but the seasoning physically on them. The guac is always delicious, but their salsa can be a little inconsistent. Their chorizo tacos are delicious, just a little on the smaller side, which is fine. The tacos only come in a soft shell. The birria tacos are also delicious, served with a very generous portion. Overall, I really enjoy coming here, and they are one of my favorite go-to places to come, grab a drink, listen to good music, and enjoy good vibes.
Birria Tacos were so good! My first time trying birria Tacos and they set the bar. I don't eat cheese, so I had it without it and I was nervous it might be one of those dishes that the cheese is what makes the dish. But I was so wrong! The beef was good, the sauce was good and not oily! Such a good balance. I will give the dish 5 stars, however, I did have to knock a star off for the sound and salsa. The music was good but it was so loud I felt like we were at a club and not a restaurant. I could barely hear my friend and when we were talking, we were pretty much yelling. The salsa was really thin and the flavor was just there. I prefer a nice spice and chunky salsa. All in all, I'm ready for another birria!

This is a nice little spot to catch up with friends on the weekend. The place is small in the inside. We ordered lots of drinks and they were all good and pretty strong which we liked lol. The food was nothing to go crazy over but it was still good.

I had my hopes up for this restaurant and they didnt exceed :/The one thing I did enjoy was the birria tacos and the dipping soup it came with to dip but the rice and beans weren't it at all ... they had no flavor. I was excited to have fried oreos with ice cream but the gave me a bute size piece of ice cream ): maybe thats just me but I wish I had more than that. The drinks werent the best either like the flavor was not margarita like.

Birria Tacos were so good! My first time trying birria Tacos and they set the bar. I don't eat cheese, so I had it without it and I was nervous it might be one of those dishes that the cheese is what makes the dish. But I was so wrong! The beef was good, the sauce was good and not oily! Such a good balance. I will give the dish 5 stars, however, I did have to knock a star off for the sound and salsa.
