Warm and friendly environment. All the food is freshly prepared, home cooking with a flair. The baked goods are plentiful and delicious. I drive 2 hours to go to this hidden gem. Caleb brews the best latte, coffee and hot beverages so save room for a speciality drink and some dessert. Not feeling well? Talk to Kim, the owner and she can put together some teas to fix what ails you. They also cater and sell cookie trays. Their prices are incredibly low considering the fresh ingredients.

Java Dog is great. Go there by myself or with friends. The food is homemade and delicious. The soups are especially good. Glad they moved to Mannington!

First time coming here and definitely coming back soon. Got a couple breakfast burritos and specialty coffees, everything was ready fast but made to order. And great drink selection. Super nice guy was spinning classic rock on vinyl, great touch.

We got 2 coffees, one of the specials the mango chicken wrap (pregectly cooked chicken) and the turkey granny smith croissant. Both were delicious. Parking is limited but the food is worth it.

whenever we pass through Salem, my husband stops here. I'm not sure how he found it as it's not really in the downtown--like maybe a mile outside of the downtown. I wasn't sure what to expect when he pulled into the parking lot. First, 99% of the people there are locals--some older, maybe retired folks, and others just on their lunch break. The owners/servers are super nice and will let you stare at the menu, ask if you need anything, let you change your mind, then help you figure out what you want (because you are a parent and your mind is not on food, but trying to figure out what your kid will actually eat). No one will bother your slightly tired child who just wants to drive his car on the table (or the floor). Definitely, a relaxed, accommodating place. As for food, there's sandwiches (wraps, grilled cheese...vegetarians welcome). Large selection of coffee drinks (frozen and hot), as well as chai. There's bagels and other pastry items. There's also a small locals craft section--handmade bags, pottery, etc. And, of course, a bathroom (clean!). very nice. go and support the local businesses.

Simple luncheonette with simple decor. No frills. Food is limited but delicious. Prices are very reasonable. Caprese grilled cheese was fantastic.Vegetarian options: A few vegetarian options (grilled cheese, veggie wrap) but no vegan options outside of salad with no cheese or meat on it and the veggie wrap wino cheese.Parking: Small parking lot in front with some additional parking behind the buildingWheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible.

Absolutely some of the best soup, tea, hot chocolate, and coffee in the area. This place even has a small shop where you can buy mugs or bags. The workers are friendly and calm. This place reminds me of a place where you just sit and talk to your friends while drinking coffee or tea. Love it.

This little hometown spot is a gem. All food is home-made when you order it, so you get exactly what you want. Daily specials and home made cookies and deserts are very popular, and they specialize in fresh ground and brewed coffee and tea. Seating capacity is small, and if the owners don't know you, they will by time you leave. Prices are very reasonable. They serve breakfast till 11am, then lunch till 3pm, closing at 4pm, weekdays only. I will definitely be returning!
